This campaign is pure hell

I’m running the campaign for the first time on legendary and my god it’s painful. Prometheans are absolute brickhouses. I made it to mission 7 and you throw in a Warden, a bunch of soldiers, dozens of crawlers and a couple of knights… All on top of utterly useless Promethean weapons… gg.

OH and I forgot to mention, the team AI is absolutely -Yoink-. Whoever was in charge of the programming for this, they need to be fired immediately. The AI doesn’t follow a smart path at any point, they just run directly to you regardless if they get hit by the sword, they struggle to climb anything if you want to try and take the higher ground and they’re aiming is so off…

Wait you’re saying the Legendary difficulty setting actually means it’s difficult??? Whaaaaaaaat??

Oh, just wait until you get to the mission “The Breaking” buddy

Wait till you get to level 14 you had to fight 3 wardens at the same time

£måõ !!!

This campaign isn’t hard it’s just so poorly designed, literally any type of Promethean has been rammed into the mission… Linda has a Northreng for god sake, why can she not act like a sniper and use the weapon properly?

You guys know you can skip that part, right? It avoids much pain.

OP, stick to the light rifle and zoom in when you shoot. It’ll make the campaign 10x easier. Also, remember the noob combo for elites.

I’m all out of fuzzy dinosaurs mate. I got the crappy light rifle which takes half a magazine to kill a soldier and then all I get left with are bolt shots, storm rifles, etc…

Errr… try harder? Lol. Idk breh.

I’ll try harder, I really will this time because with that idea @vanguard 003 I feel like I believe. Nope, still struggling with -Yoink- warden and his bukake party.

This campaign has to be the least entertaining one for me on Legendary. CE was okay. It had the Library, but it was still okay. 2 had Jackal Snipers, but it was still fun. 3 had Cortana, which wasn’t nearly as bad as the Library to me, and was still relatively good. Halo 4 introduced us to the Promethean Bullet Sponges, aka Knights, but didn’t feel too repetitive. Halo 5 looks pretty, but the sheer number of Soldiers and Warden Eternals combined with the ground vehicle segments being frustrating to deal with because of the physics just make it irritating to play through. And don’t even get me started on the plot.

Do any of the employees of this game actually play this themselves to realize this is one disgustingly poor bullet sponge campaign with seeking bullets and the ability for the warden to instantly one shot you. The AI are tragic and have no ability to do anything useful. I have to send them to the other side of the map just so they have some use as cannon fodder…

The H5 campaign gets way more hate than it deserves. It had some of the best environments of the series IMO… sure the script wasn’t great but there was actually a lot of information in the game if you actually paid attention to what was being said in the campaign and during cut scenes. Also quite a bit in the Intel if you bother to get it. The only really bad thing about the campaign was the stupid hard and redundant warden fights… why they couldn’t make Jul a boss fight is beyond me…

Great information if you pay attention and from the cutscenes such as?

Always direct your allies to fire on a target and always stay behind, or atleast very close to, cover.

This campaign was a pain on legendary. More so than 4’s.
This one really tests your patience. Severely tests it.

Thinking about it makes me shudder

Yup it’s garbage.

The light rifle is your best option. I think it takes 4 zoomed in shots to break the armor and 1 to the head to finish the soldier off. The wardens are tough, but get a strategy going so you’re not just winging it every time.

Sarcasm?
Yep THIS CAMPAIGN IS PURE HELL! because the campaign it’s too easy… it’s the easiest of all…

Try and find a partner or two honestly it makes it 100x easier. That and always scout for hidden power weapons from Warzone. Look up a video on YouTube.
