and I hate it because of it.
343 can’t make bossfights, so they rig them to force pressure onto the player.
Fighting Jega 'Rdomnai was annoying because he’d be invisible, and you could spot him with your threat sensor, then he’d disappear. Literally just disappear, he’s invisible, the threat detector doesn’t see him, and then he just spawns invisible right next to you.
It’s dumb, 343. Get better at designing bosses or keep them out of Halo.
The boss fights in this game are really not good, I agree. (including Hunters and Brute Chieftans) They’re just damage sponges with cheap 360-degree vision wallhacks and a plethora of unavoidable high-damage attacks overall, most of which that kills you instantly I assume.
Though you should know that Jega 'Rdomnai basically teleports outside the map as he starts to run away when you do too much damage to him (which is why the threat sensor won’t track him down all the time) then he proceeds to taunt you and he will spawn back in the map as he finishes talking where the threat sensor is able to track him down again. This means that you don’t have to worry about him attacking you if you are unable to detect him with threat sensor and this is the perfect time to at the very least prepare yourself in some way before he hunts you down again.
I don’t want to be that guy but… you just need to get good scrub. The boss fights really aren’t too difficult if you’re using the sandbox to your advantage. Ballistic weapons do less damage against shields but more against heath, and vice versa for plasma weapons. The only challenging bosses really are the hunters, which really don’t expose their back as they did in previous games. And instead of being slight inconveniences, the hunters felt more threading than they previously have (minus the bs H5 hunters).
okay here’s the deal with jega hes aint no oridany elite hes a former silent shadow an elite assassin group with much stronger armor and shields and camo so his fight reflects that thats hes not like the tower fight where its more like the standared elite camo even on easy he aint a push over to find but I had fun with the fifth for 1: it was a silent shadow I was fighting and 2: he throws the normal active camo elite fights out the window and making me look around with the threat sensor and my eyes
it ain’t about getting good, it’s about finding the one or two exploits in their behaviors. As long as you can grapple hook, turn, fire, grapplehook, reload, grapplehook, turn, fire, etc., you can beat most of the bosses.
Heck, being good doesn’t even actually help. Ain’t like headshots actually do more damage to them most of the time. Better off chucking coils between dumping magazines into them. That isn’t skill, that’s just mind-numbing button cycling.
OKAAAAAAAAY
Sure, when literally each boss fight is designed to catch you off guard so you can’t go in prepared with power weapons.
Escharum, sure… SURE it took you 5 minutes to beat, he can 1 shot kill you just like every boss.
…
On the side note, I do see what you be doing @TyroneRundaGang LOL the heresy is real.
Yes and no, @TyroneRundaGang has given alot of valid feedback where I have seen him in other forums, but honestly, once you do beat the campaign on Legendary, ESPECIALLY this one, then you do have bragging rights, that and with the Achievement to back it.
But Going back through and fighting the bosses with the right weapons, you can easily melt them on Legendary.
Once you hit, I think 1600 / 2000 Valor with FOBS, you do gain access to everything in the FOB, that being if you hunted down all targets, if so, then yeah, Escharum’s Hammer can melt any of the bosses for it stuns them for a moment, Jegs Blood-sword with a melee / Right trigger combo can tear through the bosses in seconds, The MK tracking rocket can 3 shot the bosses once the shields are down.
Jek Lok or however his name is spelt, if you walk in to the tower with the wrong weapons, yeah, your going to be there for a minute, especially on legendary.
Bassus, Yeah, My mistake was fighting him with the Gravity hammer outside that boss fight, But any fight you go in your going to be unequipped the first run in, but the game does have the weapons needed to beat each boss scattered across the rooms.
First run with the bosses are going to take 20 - 45 minutes on legendary with what you walk in with. But under 5 minutes on legendary, Yeah no. Lol
Those claiming they beat the game on Legendary / LASO, Yeah, no. Im calling BS. LASO turns Legendary up a notch to the point, some skulls require you to melee enemies to regain health and shields, other skulls, drop half ammo to the point where this Halo game becomes basically impossible to beat on Legendary LASO. Escharum boss fight alone is ALMOST impossible, Jeg’s boss fight is hard, but just Ground pound him repeatedly. The endless boss fight is one I will say is Impossible on LASO Legendary due to that boss constantly teleporting and hitting you with trackable unavoidable electrical attacks and where if you run for cover or away, she will just teleport straight to you and 1 shot kill you like every other boss.
The rush down hammer you get from the Brute Chieftain / target, but If you have Escharum’s Red War hammer, then you can mop the Target Bosses across the Open world.
I killed 50% of all the adds I’ve seen with melee. I find it odd that this worked as well as it did because in other Halo games you get punished for getting that close to an elite or brute when playing on Legendary. At the same time no other Halo allowed me in increase the strength of my shields or give me an uber melee that stunned enemies.
Another thing that make legendary a joke is the scorpion gun. While missable, it’s easy to get and it’s close to the start of the open world. If you grab this gun Legendary and even LASO turn into a walk in a park.
I have yet to try the scorpion gun, are you referring to the big gun you can glitch from the giant turret that I’ve seen in videos?
If so, I have yet to try that.
