i only really buy halo games for BTB, never NEVER play any other playlist.
so i was pretty excited to finally get in BTB.
this is it is it?, maps look like they were made by a 10yr old in the early 1990’s, wheres all the textures?
just decided to try it again and got put in to the old headlong, OMG, what the hell is that -Yoink!- supposed to be, thats an insult to headlong.
well, i lasted about 20secs in there before going right back to destiny and iron banner with maps that look like they were made by an adult in 2015
Quite your whining, there aren’t any big maps for arena, they were made with forge now get your head out of your -Yoink- and stop complaining or submit a complaint to the complaint box, but Im pretty sure 343 doesn’t check it, so cheerios!
So you play Halo only for BTB, you dislike it and you go back playing destiny. But first because Iyou bought a game for 60$ which you only enjoy for one thing you’re gonna rage on the Halo forum…
- These maps were Forged by Pro-Forgers, I’m not 100% sure but I thought it was also to have a “sneak-peak” of what forge can do.
- If you ever Forged a map in Halo you know that it’s not that easy to remake a map and have it balanced as well as in the old Halo which had completly different gamespeed/mechanics
- 343i said the BTB maps were gonna be forged. So you should’ve know that the Maps were not going to beautifull
- Atleast 343i gives away free-content. I don’t like the fact that a lot of things should’ve been in there from the start, but they are giving free regular updates aswell as free DLC homany other game-companies do this?

Good. Stay on Destiny. Have fun paying for DLC, because you can’t get over graphics on FORGE maps.
It looks awesome for a forge map.
Destiny has the probably the most unbalanced MP of all time.
Forge maps are usually horrible but on halo 5 are even worse don’t know why anyone would want to play on them the graphics are a disgrace
First of all OP, these are “forged” maps so while I agree I would like some more original maps, these maps are still fine. It is only 3 weeks into Halo 5 so I wouldn’t expect some brand new built from the ground up maps for awhile anyway. Have fun with Destiny I guess.

I think they look great for forge maps. They play pretty well and the only thing I’m looking for is blue/red Spartans anyways.

It’s not really free content it’s content that came with previous halo games but 343 are at least cool enough to not be yoinks about it and charge.
BTB help keep halo interesting giving us more options for play styles it’s not hard to see why people would be up set to have low quality maps that should have had some proper maps as well.
DLC that costs brakes multiplayer hardly getting used as the game gets older because not every body has paid for it. I paid for the halo 4 DLC which I can’t play if I was able to play the maps I would still be playing it.
and I believe it’s free for pretty much the same reason why GTA V DLC is all free.
Halo 5 has a lot less options of things to do than halo 4 used to
I hope this is a “sneak-peek” of what BTB and Forge can be. Maybe they have a couple dedicated maps that they plan to release for BTB that are coming soon, due to balancing. But with the way they word the information on upcoming content or the free-DLC makes it near impossible to hold them to anything they say. They can tell us about the 45+ maps that will be released in the next year but if its all forged, then we’ve been getting that from Halo for years. They love to pad the playlist with maps from the community for free to extend the games life, but releasing a griftball court with a platform in the middle doesn’t seem to excite my interests as much as section of level from the campaign, just re-tooled for MP.
I think Halo 5’s BTB is pretty mediocre compared to prior titles. But giving up and going back to Destiny? How? Why? Destiny’s MP is unbalanced garbage.

Yeah cuz we all play halo for the pretty graphics not for the balanced, competitive, Lag free gameplay.
If you want pretty graphic get a PS4 and have fun playing with yourself or get destiny and enjoy staring at the orbit screen while your try to LFG a fireteam.

Destiny maps are far better than Halo 5. And it’s not about balance, it’s map mechanics. That’s why 343 ruined SWAT. They think the spawn killing would be fixed by increasing spawn length from 1 to 3 seconds and it didn’t do -Yoink-. The problem isn’t about spawn time, it’s about players having line of sight on the spawn locations b/c of garbage map design.
All of the SWAT maps are small, square, symmetrical. They needed to be larger with more variation for SWAT to work. But 343’s philosophy is pounding square pegs into round holes so there you have it.
