That would be a great Skull/Custom Games option and considering it already exists in Theatre it shouldn’t be too hard. That said, keep it away from normal gameplay please. This is an FPS at its base and 3rd person just isn’t right for it (except for turrets, vehicles, AAs and Assassinations, of course).
I agree on the terms that it be a skull. But in multiplayer, we already have 3rd person when we pick up heavy weapons.

Well, Halo was a TPS before it was an FPS

It would be nice so you can actually see your model, should be a skull though, it would give an unfair advantage as you can see more around you (it worked fine in Star Wars Battlefront 2 but then again it was a large scale game)

We did that already with halo wars.
It’s called theater. Or driving a vehicle or carrying a heavy weapon. Why have it any other time?
By all means, let’s keep making the Halo games with less and less Halo elements… By all means.

Yes! That would be so good, why limit Halo to FPS? And Stealth games are awesome
No cause it would give players a big advantage on people playing in first person, as for a custom games option sure.
Don’t think it should be an option in all playlists. Should be its own playlist or custom game setting. Maybe even a skull for SpOps or Campaign.
That way nobody has an advantage over one another by doing that in all playlists. (Remember that TPS mode in MW2? The one they removed in MW3…)
