Was recently watching some old matches on theater in third person mode and thought it would be interesting to have a playlist with it. Would anybody else be interested in this?
In h5 you can even play ‘top down’ with machinima mode enabled. So a playlist or just customs for camera changes seems most appropriate to me.
Mmmmm maybe an option in customs, don’t think I’d really care for that enough to give it it’s own playlist.

i really don’t think halo needs that. it would be hard to aim and other things…

Unless youre talking about a Gears of War design without the taking cover function, its possible. But I am not a fan of much third person games so I personally wouldnt play it as much.
I don’t think a playlist would be necessary, however there’s no point of not having it as a setting in custom games. I don’t think it’d get used too much, but the halo community is super creative when it comes to custom games so I could be wrong.

I’m conflicted. On one hand, the third person views are done quite well in Halo 5 which leads me to believe a third-person playlist would play well. It would be a natural evolution/addition in a way since Halo’s always had third person elements (turrets and the like). At the same time, tradition has always had Halo be an FPS and any playlist that allows full third-person control (except for the previously mentioned turrets) might be too much of a break from the formula.
I have a very large liking for third person games due to being able to see my character model in action. So I like this idea.
I’d also love to see a third person setting for coop/singleplayer/custom games. I’ve seen gameplay on halo 5 forge in third person with the exuberant mod, and it looks sweet. With all the spartan customization in halo, it seems a waste to limit most of the gameplay to first person. Having a third person option will let players see their painstakingly customized spartan more often.
