thinking out side the box on quit bans reach

how about when some one quits in reach you give the 0 kill and ten deaths for each person that stayed in the game on the person that quits on his or her k/d reports… then give the 10 deaths as kills to each player that stayed in the game… it would look like this ( the one that quits get 0/10 k/d reported to his or her stats and each player that finished the game get the k/d that they got in the game + 10 kills added to the stats report. so if i played a game of swat and a player quit i got 10/10 in the game 1.0 k/d now i would get 20/10 reported to my stats 1.5 k/d… i think that would work more than the quit ban that bungie did…

So everyone earns kills they really didn’t b/c someone left the game??

No, that would completely defeat the idea of a K/D RATIO. Earning kills that you really didn’t is just handing out points/credits/etc.

i know just trying to come up with a way to keep ppl from doing it… it to the point i play 10 games and 3 out of them one or more quits

taken deaths from the player that quits is a good ting given the kills to the other players was wish full thinking

I don’t think that character statistics have anything to do when something pops-up or you get teamed up with a bad team. Therefore, this solution isn’t going to work.

true i more upset on the ones that quits b/4 the games starts or the one that quit the 1st min of the game when they see the k/d is not going to be high becuz the other team is good…

Don’t mind these players. They are usually the ones who can’t take a loss or grew tired of the game, maybe frustration from real life is involved.

However, I don’t see how this kind of behavior could be a bother for anyone; especially because they leave once the game is finished.

I can’t count the times that I have been left alone in a team simply because my own team was made up by either newbies or the enemy team was made by decent players.

The only thing I can hope is that the future Halo games will choose your opponents based on your own experience with the game.

ok try this a opt for link me up to players with a quit/play .01…

It’s still doling out unearned kills. That means that say, I got 10 kills but didn’t die at all and someone on the other team quits. I practically get an instant perfection at games end with half the effort.

You gotta think long term/big picture with something like this. It’s just as unfair as losing a match due to quitting. You’re rewarding the other team for no reason.

hmm ok lets try haven a no quit playlist… can’t get in unless you if you quit more than once a week…

> hmm ok lets try haven a no quit playlist… can’t get in unless you if you quit more than once a week…

Kind of bias and unfair to people who just have a random connection issue, being booted, etc.

Players should not be awarded for things they have not earned.

Yes there is.

Sounds like it could be easily abused.

This, one if you made an extra account, just to do this?
You would have the account on a serprate xbox, have them leave to raise your K/D.

I’d say “People don’t really care that much about their K/D, do they?”

But, lol.

There are some people tho who are carzy about it.

When it comes down to it, W/L > K/D.

In my opinion, anyway.

I was in a game once where the entire enemy team each looked up one person on our team and said “Oh, we’ll win. Their K/Ds don’t even break 2 or 3.”

We won. Three flag captures to zero.

That would just add more incentive to hold the objective. Think about it - I search with a full party in BTB, we could hold the objective for spawn killing, more credits, more commendations -AND- if they quit, we get MORE stats!.

Bad idea.
