Been thinking about picking up H3 again and was wondering if anyone has been in matchmaking recently and can tell me what it’s like. Still possible to get in any games? What playlists are still worth playing?

My two cents since Im not a good player to begin with, its rare that I get atched up with anyone who wants to play and have a good time. Typically I feel constantly matched up with MLG-level players or a bunch of idots who are too busy betraying their own team.
But, when I do get matched up with a good group, win or lose, its a great time.
Ranked Team Slayer, Social Slayer, and Big Team Battle are always full at all levels of skill difficulty.
I play Halo 3 every week and those are the 3 most consistent playlists to be in / are easy to get a lot of matches.
I just bought this game, getting back into it after five years away. It’s still remarkably playable. For example, there tend to be at least 1500 people in the ranked Team Slayer playlist at normal EST hours, giving a good distribution of levels and reasonably balanced matches. It’s as addictive as I remember it being.
Social Slayer has a higher population that most of Reach’s playlist, and there are plenty of noobs as well as good players. The game in general is fun and is still going strong. I’m happy I bought it.
Yep social/team slayer, lone wolves, team doubles and multi team and lets not forget social skirmish and social big team are still highly populated. BTW the social version of gamemodes are more populated than the skill version. If your a noob play social there are plenty of noobs and pros on there due to guests being aloud and Ranked playlists are for skill ranked competitive people.

I was playing H3 until every one of my games was against a party of seemingly all 50’s.
