Things we want to See In Halo 5...

There are a lot of things we all want to see in Halo 5 so here is a place to put down those things. What I want to see is a lot of what Halo 4 had but I want to see the Falcon because Halo 4 had -Yoink- for Flying vehicles and I want to see the Warthogs stay the same but maybe introduce some new tanks for different climates and landscaping. And on to the next thing which involves weather It would be really cool to see different weather conditions in multilayer and the story, like on snowy winter maps blizzards can happen at certain times, or in deserts, sandstorms, or it starts raining heavily or snowing with thunder and lighting and we should have the ability to add these effects in forge. Speaking of Forge we want bigger maps just not in space but like reach’s forge world and we want to make our maps more realistic meaning building blocks are more realistic and destructible environments meaning you can destroy buildings and walls. Lets move onto weapons the weapons in Halo 4 were fine when you first released the game but went to -Yoink- when you added the weapon update which is why a lot of people left for starters the DMR should have 15 rounds and have long to medium range the Battle rifle should be a 3 round burst and be used short to medium range and the Assault rifle is fine just like the rest of all the weapons just keep them the way they were in the beginning. Next off make the Guns and Armor more realistic the Guns had no details like Halo Reach and Our the armor looked like plastic and had little to no details their were no ammo packs no -Yoink!- packs and their was no real details go look at Reach’s armor it was detailed to great extent. Next The Ranking System it was way to easy to rank up you need to use either Halo 3s or Halo Reachs Ranking System and Give us real Ranks like private, Sergent, Lieutenant, Captain, Commander, Brigadair, and General and so fourth no NUMBERS ranks make sense and Leveling up needs to be 10 times harder you need to have skill to rank up not just play a lot and do challenges not saying you shouldn’t do that but still it should take skill. Spartan ops was great and cant wait to see more but with all of this stuff and the story was great and I cant wait to see what Halo 5 storyline has in store. Please read this 343 and add these stuff to Halo 5 to make it even better. And dont forget to read what people put at the bottom and would like to see in Halo 5 343 see you on the battlefield…through the scope of my rifle of course!!!

Descope and no sprint.

I kinda want paragraphs.

> I kinda want paragraphs.

Either that or a TL;DR. If you don’t write with decency, you can’t be disappointed when no one reads your writing.

Add the hornet from halo 3, that was awesome! also, add some more explosive weapons and ALOT more props for forge like walls with bullet holes, or a option that let’s you blow up a vehicle and use it as scenery. More types of rocks and buildings, and maybe more AI type things, stuff like the halo 4 turrets. Maybe walking bombs that you deploy that starts walking towards the nearest enemy ad blows up after 5 seconds. More transport stuff like ladders or that pipe from halo 3 high ground map that you can walk through. How about some animations or talk options you can use through your character, or better death screams! More mini game type things like speed run by petetheduck.

Are you talking about me I didn’t say anything about no one reading my stuff?

I also want to see More involvement in Clans I want a Clan System and the Ability To make our own Clan UNSC Ships.

“UNSC Dickbutt reporting for duty”

Thats what happens when you allow this type of stuff.

Health.

If people in clans don’t want to be serious about their name of a working battleship thats their problem they will just be laughed at and hey I’m just making suggestions if you don’t like them come up with better ones and help make Halo 5 better.

Would you have preferred I wrote one sentence instead?

Thank You! Totally agree! The sniper rifle is way to easy because of non descope.

Sure sprint is a modern and popular development in shooters but without sprint is the game much more tactical and teamplay is necessary!
keep sprint away please.

No.

I like sprint :frowning:

Honest question… Why?

it just feels better
go back and play halo reach or halo 3 and see how it feels with no sprint
its just like too slow

> it just feels better

Would you rather have sprint, or would you rather always have your weapon up so you can always shoot someone?
OR
Would you be ok with a slight default speed increase, to maybe 120% without sprint?

This would effectively make each person move faster at all times, slower than sprint, but you would always have your gun at the ready and you wouldn’t have to slow down to let it “recharge” ever.

In Reach 120% speed felt alright because the base movement speed was slower than any other Halo game. If 343i keep H4’s base movement speed then the 20% increase would make the game more chaotic than anything. I think that sprint needs to stay. It needs to have a short duration, similar to Reach. You need to be able to be knocked out of it, not slowed down like in H4 but actually knocked out, and when knocked/coming out of sprint there needs to be a slight delay in raising your gun.

This would seriously limit sprint’s offensive capabilities, and make it so you cannot run away from a battle with it. Its purpose would be map movement, and little pushes to either power weapons or to help a teammate out, while still giving people the little bursts of speed that, you have to admit, feel good to do.

I honestly get no enjoyment from running in a video game. I think it is stupid to implement and I rarely use it in H4 because you’re left defenseless while using it.

Why would you go really fast into a battle without your weapon drawn? That’s a no brainer argument right there on why it isn’t a viable part in a shooter. The only thing that it really helps with is closing distances with melee weapons.

The only time it can be used effectively, it to run away from a battle. While running away, you aren’t fighting, so you don’t need your weapon drawn. That’s the only time it makes sense to use sprint. Sure getting knocked out of sprint would help, but I still see it as pointless.

Those are just a few points on why I feel it shouldn’t be in Halo. It has no offensive capabilities since you have no way of actually attacking, which makes it purely a defensive ability. That’s not to mention the whole aspect of proper positioning and whatnot, but those are also tied to instant respawn and other factors that would make my post be really long, but it mostly starts with not being able to run away from your battles if you aren’t in a good position.

The sprint-double melee/sprint-sword are both extremely offensive.

You are right about instant respawn being a huge problem with sprint in H4, and by removing that many of the issues that I, personally, have with sprint would be gone. You are also right about not wanting to run into battle while sprinting, as it puts you at a major disadvantage. I think that it is important that people get the mentality that running into a battle is bad into their heads. The things that I proposed would help punish people that do, therefore teaching them not to do that.

I agree with you that for battles people shouldn’t be running into battle like idiots, but at the same time I really enjoy sprint, it at least give the illusion of faster gameplay. Both Reach’s and H4’s sprints take away from gameplay, but with proper tuning I truly think that it can feel like it belongs.
