> 1. AC glitch - I hate when I play an entire team doing this crap. Fix it or remove it from loadouts. Even if you have to somehow erase everyones loadouts i wouldn’t mind too much.
While I agree with you that the camo glitch needs fixed I would say that if they remove camo then PV should go bye bye too. If my ability to become invisible goes away then so should everyone’s ability to see me through walls. I use camo in every loadout except when I get annoyed and swap one to jet pack : / if it works it works, and until they change it (or god forbid remove it; I know some would love this but not me) I will continue to use it.
Personally I have very little trouble seeing people when they are camo’d and even if they are doing the glitch it still lights them up momentarily so unless you were nowhere near them when they started it you should still momentarily be able to gauge where they should be, look for the shimmer, and unload in that direction. Or if it bothers you that much swap to Promethean vision; even if they are using stealth from Wetwork (which I avoid using as I prefer to have the extra ammo or flinch reduction from rogue) they will still show up as a (likely moving) blue outline. PV has unlimited range…use and abuse it like everyone else.
Spawns and weapon timers are SUPER annoying right now. I will give you that. I do like how it changes the games that tended to be super slow paced…but sometimes there’s just too much…I was on Shutout (lockout) last night and the other team had sniper tower (and were so aggressive that I’m fairly sure they were hyped up on pixie sticks or something) and they had 3 snipers, 2 scattershots and I think I saw a sword. While at least one of those weapons (the sword; again I think I saw it) had to be an ordinance drop, the 3 snipers just kept spawning and we held the tower for a while but they kept rushing us like 12 year olds cracked out on mountain dew, surge (for those of you who don’t know what “surge” is, insert red bull or monster here), and sugar laced with pure rage and psychosis, so they eventually overcame us despite the herculean efforts of my one buddy who said (and I agree with him; we’ve been playing together since Halo 2 in 2002) that they were the most aggressive team he’d ever played against. At least we made it a close game but
3 snipers on lockout + at least 2 scattershots, a sword, and a heaping dose of crazy aggressive charge? No…no thanks I’m good I’ll pass on that.
Note: to be fair to the other team they didn’t take the tower with the 3 sniper rifles, and we tried to play them again, at least some of them weren’t in a party, but once they got the tower within what seemed like 2 minutes they had our old sniper and two new ones with which to pin us down wherever we spawned. Best way I can describe the other team was hamsters infected with the rage virus from 28 days later or something. They weren’t the best team I’ve ever faced (tho one of them rocked a 21-13 score or something (I pulled off a mediocre 17-17) but the ones that were in a party worked together like champs and bum rushed us like psychopaths every spawn.
More diverse power weapons? I’m 50/50 on that one. If you’re playing infinity slayer then more diverse power weapons would lead to an almost fiesta-style game. But slayer pro (it’s not really pro with regular weapon spawns but I don’t care I hate no radar anyways so the power weapons work to my advantage) could use a bit more diversity in my opinion; I would like to see a slayer pro variant with radar but that’s just me.
To backtrack the only point about the shields I would say (and the only one that bothers me nearly as much as AC haters) is grenades. Both sticky and frag. I would venture a guess that somewhere around 1/3 of my deaths come by grenades. I would venture another guess that the AC users such as myself would all say something like that as we tend to lie in wait…it’s not like we can sprint across the map with camo on…and hide behind corners. But my favorite thing is to completely overpower someone and then be killed by a Hail Mary sticky grenade. Or to be crouched and waiting (be it defending a flag or the less noble “I’ma campin this here corner with a shotgun” and some genius tosses grenade after grenade into where I’m hiding and it eventually kills me. Heck sometimes it’s just one powerful frag nade. I know they use the explosives thing but it’s just incredibly annoying getting killed repeatedly by grenades.
I played landfall for the first time last night (and was reminded how much I hated playing new maps; lesson learned) and at least my first 3 deaths were all to grenades; the first two were random sticks…like the guy was not even looking at me…I think he threw it on the ground and it “bounced” and stuck to my leg for one…and the other he was throwing the grenade in the general direction of absolutely no one and it fell off a wall onto my chest. The third death was “hey Bill; there’s a guy somewhere down that hallway, call Jim over so the three of us can throw frag grenade after frag grenade at him until he dies; I’m pretty sure he has a good weapon that we wouldn’t stand a chance against if it wasn’t for this nearly endless supply of grenades we have.” If shields recharged a little quicker (as OP suggested) this would happen less and less to me.
Lastly; since we’ve just covered explosives, did they nerf the sticky detonator A LOT, or is it just me? I fired it into the ground, watched a guy walk over it, detonated it while he was DIRECTLY ON TOP OF IT (really; I think I saw his character trip over the extended grenade) and he lived to KILL ME (with the BR of course). Now to be fair here I very nearly killed MYSELF with it several times…is it a shaped charge that points in the way of the shooter now? In some sort of suicidal vendetta against the one who fired the grenade? It sure feels like it.
To sum up for the people who went TL;DR
Camo is OK, just fix the glitch…that needs to happen.
Too many weapon spawns/more diverse power weapons may make infinity slayer too much like fiesta, but may be OK in “pro.”
Add radar to slayer pro.
Kids on mountain dew snorting pixie sticks are crazy.
Grenades are overpowered.
Sticky detonator seems underpowered.
Ok; rant over.
