Things that should be removed from Future GP

Look before I get started, I don’t want people arguing like crazy about this or fighting each other. This is OPINION AND MY EXPERINCED BASED! Lets get started:

Spartan Charge is the bane of my existence. People charging me from miles (Exaggerated but very far) away. People in the games I play RELAY on using this ability. I try to use guns to have more fun. But here’s the problem: People just relay on their abilities too much, like for example: I threw plenty of grenades at people over the years, and in the old games, strafing speed was up so you could move out of the way. But now you can thrust out of the way, making it less fun and making me not jumping out my gaming chair. But anyway, When I am trying to get ready to take down their shields and melee, I automatically get Spartan charged. Really? That’s not vey fun getting Spartan Charged every minute or two.

Thruster Pack. Yep. Thruster Pack. I hate it with my life when I’m throwing a hail Mary, going to get that epic kill. Oh, what’s that? He Thruster Packed out of the way! I am great at using grenades (Being trained in the clan community to be a demolition expert) But my whole purpose is taken away by thruster Pack, with people being able to move so fast out of the way (Another point later). So when I do get a kill, its extreme luck.

The gameplay is a little too fast. I can’t keep up with what’s happening. I can’t keep up because I’m used to traditional Halo game gameplay with slow, able-to-think gameplay. I have adapted though. But for players that can’t adapt, then they are going to have a rough time fighting with other players. I would take the gameplay just a notch down a bit. Not to the old Halo, but in the middle, like Halo Wars 2’s art style.

Well, that’s all I have to say about some features. Hope some people are still good out there and can understand where I’m coming from. If it does not make sense, sorry, I’m tired.

I agree with you on Spartan charge, I think everyone wants it gone.
I love the thrusters tough. It speeds up gameplay and makes it more interesting. You don’t want to go back to slow Halo 2 gameplay right? I’m not hating on H2 buts its basically whoever shoots first (if both people hit their shots) wins. There is nothing to it.
I remember playing the Halo 5 beta and getting used to the small reticles. H5 is a really competitive game.

I’ve been strongly against sprint for years, although I don’t think much of this website shares my opinion on it. Sprint requires too many things in the game to change to accommodate it (map size, movement speed, shield recharging, etc.), so it should really be scrapped in favor of a high movement speed. Of course, no sprint means no spartan charge and slide, but I don’t believe spartan charge is viewed positively by many people. Slide, I can take it or leave it.

I can live with thruster pack, but it could have been implemented better. It would be cool if thruster pack returns in Halo 6 yet has become a pick-up ability like Halo 3’s equipment and provides more thrust upon activation. This version of thruster could be momentum-based; you could accelerate, and the greater your movement speed becomes, the more distance you travel with the thruster pack. If you move fast and far enough, your character could begin to slide. There is much more to Halo 2 than “whoever shoots first wins”, Assassin. Trust me.

As for weapons themselves, I’d be so happy if smart scope was trashed. More than anything, it provides an unnecessary animation to just zoom in, and it fills your screen with junk from your weapon. Full-screen zoom is much better.

I wholeheartedly agree that spartan charge should be removed entirely. It rarely kills me anymore but when it does it never feels deserved and I just end up frustrated.

and about the grenade point I totally get it, I relied pretty heavily on my grenades in previous games but you really have to adapt. They are still useful you just have to surprise people with them and because of the slightly longer fuse time you have to bounce grenades off the ground towards your enemy instead of throwing them directly at them. way harder to use though I’ll concede to that.

Feel free to use the existing Halo 6 wishlist threads.
