I don’t know about you guys, but one of the things that made a halo game truly epic to me was when say on halo 3, you’re on tsavo highway and a carrier flys over your head and everything rumbles and shakes. Those moments made my face go like “D: OMG EPIC” Also like in halo 2 when you’re in space and that carrier flys past so close to the station your on! Its just incredible. I really really would love moments like this in halo 4.
Edit: Another thing, anyone miss having the Favourites every week on halo 3? That was awesome.
> Awesome, thanks. I just miss those moments, halo reach didn’t really have any, only really the cutscene at the end of the game.
Halo Reach definitely lacked the size and scope of the other Halo games, even ODST managed a few epic moments like the initial drop and the bridge at the end of the game.
What… the two cruisers that show up unexpectedly on New Alexandria, which make everything shake as they fly overhead, and start glassing the city doesn’t count?
I’m all for this sort of cool stuff to be in Halo 4 though.
Yeah exactly, Reach to me was a bit if a disappointment. Now that I’m seeing clips of halo 4 looking a bit like Reach and halo 3 had a baby, I hope 343i isn’t looking at reach’s campaign for idea on halo 4’s.
In Halo 2/ 3/ ODST the Cruisers fly past you, in Reach you are actually getting glassed. It isn’t lacking, you’re there, not just watching the Cruiser go from A to B. You are in the glassing event.

True, but it didn’t really feel as epic as the previous games.

Lol yes it did.
In Halo 3: Oh my God, that thing’s huge and just scraped past us!
Yes I know we were placed right in the middle of It but It just didn’t feel the same. Y’know watching the carrier flying over your head, watching the space elevator on ODST rain down everywhere. In halo 3 high charity appearing out of nowhere and crash landing. Those moments were the best.
Edit: Yes i remember now on new Alexandra where the ships glass you, that was cool firing that beam into the ground, but i just didn’t get the same reaction as i did in other halo games.

I think Halo Reach was a totally rushed game, the campaign could’ve been a lot better but it never felt really that ‘Halo’ to me. There wasn’t huge epic battles, vehicle combat and huge open bright spaces. They didn’t make the missions that long either. They should look at Halo 3’s campaign and start off from there with Halo 4 because, in my opinion, Halo 3 was the best campaign in any video game ever.
They didn’t even make good maps or proper forge pieces in Reach!
OT: Yes, I’d love those moments. I really missed them too and noticed that there were none in Halo Reach.

And the Frigates on Tip of the Spear and you’re flying in a freaking Saber next to a space station, Frigate and Corvette… yeah obviously there weren’t any in Halo Reach… People just seek reasons to bash on it.
I just didn’t find most of that stuff as epic as in the previous halo games. I mean c’mon, a corvette floating in space against High charity crashing into the planet? Anyway its your opinion, I’m not going to start an argument.
If people are so upset that Bungie didn’t put enough effort into Reach, they should go and complain to Microsoft about the lack of decent hardware in the Xbox.
I mean… 512MB RAM? Are you kidding me???
It should have AT LEAST 1GB.
