I love some good old firefights.
Maybe some random firefights? ![]()
I love some good old firefights.
firefight is something that needs his own game mode like in halo reach and halo 5.
then you get can get a better version of the firefight that blows the halo reach and halo 5 versions away more.
for the campaign mode i think that event’s like HVT’s raid’s and boss raid’s on some place’s on the map and bunkers with stronger stats are much better for it.
and maybe use also the challance system from halo reach and MCC for it?
or also add the guardian as a boss fight option as a event?
what about doing something with the banished ships that are in the sky and you most rebuild your own pelican to defeat then?
Ah yes. Skybattles. With falcons and pelicans.
You seem to be really head up about there being nothing to do after you beat the campaign the thing is that’s pretty much all the Halo games I mean there wasn’t anything to do after you defeated Halo CEs same with Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo 5, Halo 3 ODST, Halo Reach, Halo Wars, and Halo Wars 2 the only thing relate to do after you defeat the campaign is PVP and firefight now I’m not a fan of PVP I didn’t mind firefight though that’s actually the one game mode I like so they’re being nothing to do after the campaign is defeated is nothing new
the halo reach part you got compleet wrong at all.
since back in the xbox 360 day’s halo reach got the best challance system it has for both firefight/campaign and marchmaking.
and also the points system.
so in halo reach you can play a lot off the campaign again and again for the points you need to buy new armor parts or effect’s for your own custom spartan.
so if you compleet the first time there was also a good reason to play it again for the points system in general.
in halo infinite if you compleet all the missions, defeat all the HVT’s,destroy all the bunkers, save all the marines and destory also the towers, collect all the skuls and got all the power ups.
then there is notting to do at all.
sure now you can replay the missions again but still you get bored fast with it.
thats why the halo reach challance and points system was something what halo infinite needs hard to make it more fun to keep playing the campaign at all.
and really why do you add halo wars and halo wars 2 in you list there are both RPG and not FPS at all.
If the price was right, I’ll definitely be buying Campaign content (as well as seasonal passes; maybe discounts on bundle deals, Campaign DLC + Season Pass).
The issue with “customisable Master Chief” if that it’s a story about Master Chief, not you as a player.
The Multiplayer is more in line with playing a Spartan version of yourself and confusing the two just seems like messy compartmentalisation.
From a production position its essentially required to reuse assets as much as possible the issue is compounded by open world games and made more noticable by design conceits and production requirements.
I do t think it helps that the entire open world feels underbaked.
The design at a base geometry level was ablet down.
This simple joy of driving a hog around Halo CE wasnt even replicated.
Id go as far as claim it would have been a better game is the grapple shot wasnt a constant design crutch.
OP, this is one broad list.
Its more a medly of existing thread topics. Damn near overwhelming.
Any way for me the biggest issues with the openwolrd was it feeling so much more a facade than a world.
A longer day night cycle where night was pitch black, torches become a consideration.
Night having unique behaviours and AI.
Blind wolves roaming in packs.
Banished searchlights over head.
Green engineers like roams alone that hide in caves at dawn.
Banished supply lines, prisoner transport and scouting parties.
Large cages aswell as the marine tethers
Marine interaction, driving vehicles, attacking if you go awol, reach trooper style fireteams.
The fact that we weren’t finding them in make shift bases in caves or downed ships and the like was a big loss to the world.
The fobs felt artificial and out of place.
We should have been working towards assembling a small but well defended outpost by the games end. Not scattered open air utility free fobs scattered arounf the ring.
Wild life should have been on zeta for sure.
Hell one or 2 well deaigned apex predators with there own routines would have done wonders.
Halos 3 faction combat is almost begging for a rathalos to enter the fray.
The lack of diversity within the biome hurt it 2.
Bodies of water near non existant.
Open grass flat lands with herds.
Dense forested areas that required on foot exploration.
Large de forested area where banished clearedbthe trees.
These are all within the plalettes limitations but instead it was a diet version of all of it with "verticality " aka look up and grapple being the stand in for exploration and its a shame because the potential returns of a open world was exciting.
True but they could have made it a post game option.
With the ending as it was it would have actually made more sense if the credits rolled and a marine found your spartan in armour hybernation and you explored the map as them with your cosmetics and unlocks now usable in the open world.
Without a replay option chiefs story is ostensibly over for now.
I know you didnt play halo 4 or 5 but festure from both would have made for a much better “post game”.
4 had spartan ops, ordinance drops and dominion.
5 had squad orders, and poorly recieved “guns down” hub levels.
So id pitch that it all be repurposed.
All it would need is a gabriel thorne cameo.
Mp spartans for post game and post game coop.
Have all the open world progression feed into a hub mega fob instead of simy valour.
A couple npcs with dialogue that progressed over time and the base becoming better populated and defended.
The option to place some defences and weapons and structures manually but in a limited capacity.
Like 3 basic objective missions to be done coop or solo.
Limit the player to one equipment that expires perhaps not as quick as it does in mp.
If possible grant them the basic order commands from Guardians for marines.
And ordinance drops in the open world.
Go full reach finale/odst fire fight and have the player defend their new fob from banished waves.
Earning points to activate turrets and the like a la dominion.
It should be well within the power of their dev tools to provide sadly slipspace seems to have so many issues these sort of concepts are years off.
But as it stands I think it would do wonders for the game and to put your custom spartan in the open world just feels logical considering what happens to john.
So basically what you were telling me is you would rather have nothing and then a little something at least screw you man and anyone else that disagrees with me my ideas are great I don’t care what anyone else says
in halo reach in the xbox 360 day’s i have grind the campaign mode a lot for the challange’s to earn the credtis from it to make sure i reach my goal for the thunderstorm armor effect.
so firefight’s here and there and some break’s by playing some social playlist game type’s.
in MCC i have grind a lot off season token’s from all the campaign missions challange to reach my goal there to remake my halo 4 Spartan again in MCC with the same armor parts and later on for the thunderstrom effect.
and in the mean time also compleet some achievements also.
for halo infinite was it getting bored after few month’s after it was release.
since there was almost notting left to do at all any more.
in total i have what delete and make new campaign save file’s 3 or 4 time’s.
and when you have replay the campaign for 7 time’s so what its getting more bored at some point since there was almost notting left to do any more.
since it was each time the same after you compleet the 14 story line missions that it gets bored since all the things you can do are done and notting was left to do any more.
what halo infinite now needs is long therm new content that you can play the campaign in the big open world for a long time.
but your idea’s are only good for short time and thats something people not wane see now and wane see the long therm content.
the campaign story line is almost for 1 full year staying in a clifhanger.
if halo infinite is a 10 year plan game then you need to have also good content to make it true and to have some strong big content that make it also fun to do after you compleet the story line.
and some off your idea’s on the first post are not is good content since it has notting to do with the player at all.
if you wane see more objectives on the emty space has notting to do with the player playing the game at all.
look at other open world game’s there have better and strong content that let you keep playing still after you compleet the main story missions.
since there are some mini game’s in it you can play for the fun and defeat the end boss endless so that you can try to defeat him each time on a diffrend way since its something what is staying there for good and can fight always again.
halo infinite has that not after you compleet the 14 missions its done you cant fight the end boss or any boss any more in a rematch on the same save file for that you most make a new save file to do it again.
The thing is I’m not going to coming up with long-term content however the people who made the game could take my content that would only be good for a short time and turn it in too long-term content by changing something here or there we do need challenges in campaign that award XP towards the battle pass at least I think but even though we do need long-term content I would still at least like them to add armor lockers with all of Master Chief’s old armor sets in them and allow players to use those in campaign as for the tank skull I like them to add that just because I think it would be awesome to snipe enemy with tank rounds I mean imagine nailing an enemy in the face with a tank crew from a long range however do you think my ideas would be good to add after we got some long-term content for the campaign
the idea to have also challange’s and get exp for the battle pas from the campaign mode has been suggest all some month’s ago all.
so thats something not new at all.
i am not telling to come up with long therm idea’s for the campaign at all but thats sadly we really now need and thats why some people hate the short therms idea’s now more.
about this question i can only tell the same thing i have told you in the first post.
that idea nummbers: 3,4,6,9,15,13,12,5 and 14 are not needed at all.
that for points 13,12,5 and 14 stay the still same for me.
since on some other threads there have better suggestions for the campaign it needs.
that some vehicles from other halo’s make a return in the campaign mode.
and same for some weapons make a return like the forrunners and covenant weapons from other halo’s.
that some vehicles from halo wars and halo wars 2 are also comming in halo infinite.
same go’s for some enemy’s like the Flood and forunners make a return in the campaign.
that are all the suggestion idea’s for the campaign mode.
there are lot off threads about idea’s for the campaign mode and a lot off then are idea’s that most a return from other halo’s.
you can hate my idea’s if you wane since its only you can make that call for your own.
but there are still a lot off other communety members that like then.
and most off the idea’s like weapons, vehicles and enemy’s from other halo’s most make a return in the campaign has been suggest all by other communety members all in there own threads about it.
same for the halo wars and halo wars 2 vehicles have been suggest all on a other thread.
i only show you what for idea’s for the campaign has been suggest all for month’s ago and some are all for years ago been suggest for halo infinite there wane see a return.
and if you not like it that people not like your idea’s then you most still accept it since there is no rule that we can give bad feedback about other communety members idea’s for the game.
i am done with this thread since its no use any more to replay on it any more at all.
Before adding anything completely new, how about giving additional purposes to locations already implemented?
FOBs/Complexes can be counterattacked on higher difficulties; a timer above the Point of Interest’s icon on the map shows the countdown until the scenario auto-resolution mechanic is triggered (if the player does not participate in the event, the Banished capture the POI and the player has to re-flip it back)
Marine/Trooper Squad compositions are saved, with another console at FOBs and the Reverie (eg. Outpost Tremonius) used to call in specific Marine/Trooper squads to accompany the player. Equipped weapons are also tracked, allowing players to spec out Marine/Trooper squads with certain weapons for certain roles. Dead Marines/Troopers within a squad are also tracked, with the loss of an entire squad resulting in that particular squad being removed from the requisition list.
After rescuing a Marine/Trooper squad and completing the primary campaign (defeating Escharum and the Harbinger), and if the Marine/Trooper squad is still active by that point, the area from which the squad was rescued can be established as a new FOB site.
Banished complexes from the side missions can be captured and repurposed for UNSC operations (after Escharum is defeated), which may or may not give gameplay-enhancing bonuses upon being flipped
The Conservatory can be re-explored after the Harbinger is defeated, being converted into a UNSC-controlled complex. Proceeding to the bottom of the facility will trigger a sequence to reactivate Despondent Pyre, with the final reward being the ability to call in Sentinel squadrons alongside Marine/Trooper squads.
FOB India added on the Pelican Down island, in the center of the boneyard
FOB Mike added on the upper-left island, inside the open pit leading into the cave system.
FOBs Tango and Victor added, being set on the upper-right set of islands. FOB Tango is at the start of the Road, while FOB Victor is located on the lakeside of the top island.
What do you think of my ideas
None of them really deal with the core issues of the titles narrative or open world design.
Just a series of surface level and mostly unlikely requests considering the output of infinites post launch content drops.
Similar to xperias video they arent really solutions to any of the core issues.
Just broadly expected or requested features.
None are bad additions.
Some are very vague.
Some if not most are obviously inclusions that shiuld have at the very least been considered. However there little explanation of how they serve to make noticable improvements to the base outside some quality of life improvements. Outside of the pelicans wich is definitely missing due to time constraints.
Edit 1.
@The_Cool_Spoon
Can’t be done.
(Edit 2. EA) WB* copyrighted the bloody concept.
@Modod Oh i know they have it copyrighted. My suggestion would be for Microsoft to pay to use it. Will it happen? No. But would it be awesome if they got the Nemesis system? Oh yeah.
Nice idea but WB* arent even liscencing it out.
Least they werent.
Its a move to increase the value of the publishing arm.
Round the time they floated a sale.
MS would prob have to buy WBG to use nemesis.
What they could do though.
Seeing as you putched an ai solution from another title.
Is the truth sayer and liar AI solution creative assemby used for alien:isolation.
Have jega constantly traking you down a la Xenomorph or resi’s mr. X andNEMESIS
Flood, flood, flood, send in the flood.
Ya the fact the whole map hasnt had an outbreak for october and had a proto grave mind assault event is a travesty.
Well the classic weapons new weapons and vehicles and terminals being added would all be obvious changes I don’t know about quality of life improvements I just think all my ideas would have been interesting features to have in the game or fun features to have in the game I have a huge list of skulls that I would have put in Halo infinite not just the tank skull I’m not saying my ideas are a long-term fix I’m not going to coming up with long-term fixes but I am good at coming up with the features that I think people would like like the dog tags for instance those would have information on them about Fallen Spartans like their service number their name when did their service start background information like where they came from stuff like that
