Things That Forge Needs

Mirroring
Say you set where the main center point is and from there you can forge on one side and it will automatically mirror to the other side. This would greatly help in making symmetrical maps.
Increase Block limit
I am unsure if it’s just me but, when making a detailed map, I tend to hit or get close to the block limit very quickly which is frustrating.
New Blocks Ideas - so less blocks are used to create

  • various sized fences
  • beds
  • chairs
  • bigger simple wall sizes

Thoughts on this?

What they need is to bring back the classic block set from every other Forge out there.

What do you mean by that?

He could possibly be refering to blocks such as one way shields which have been in every forge but this one.

Trait zones and shield doors.

Oh, also the option to script motion sensors, would be useful.

Listen carefully. It is pretty complicated so stay with me. Halo 5: Guardians Forge requires 1 specific key asset. Now, read slowly. It is an Undo button. This complicated crazy contraption is made to undo the thing you just did in forge. What a crazy and insane but helpful idea, huh?
P.S. Omfg it’s so simple just do it.

That would be helpful, for how easy it is to select objects and accidentally delete a whole section

I did it, I can understand it
Seriously, I need undo. especially with the magnets, if you accidentally hit Left trigger, extremly annoying

Trait Zones that can also activate scripts
Bomb planting that can activate scripts (for destructable mqp sections)
Shield doors
More gametypes

From what they have said in Vidocs, an undo button is way to complicated to implement. Even with dev tools, it was stated that designers lack an undo button when making maps. Im all for an undo button, but please don’t under play its complexity. It would be nice to have, but it’s not that bad forging without it.

I actually made a post about that last week.

(Are we allowed to link to other posts/threads?)

What he said.
As someone with lots of programming experience, believe me when I say coding an undo function is unbelievably complicated.
Don’t get me wrong, I really want an undo button, but the undo function in even the simplest of software is super complicated. It’s absolutely something everyone takes for granted. It doesn’t shock me at all that they simply don’t have the time to tackle implementing an undo in forge.

yes^
landmines, and maybe an ammo station?
