-The Skill gap is non existent
-The game is designed for casual players
-It takes no skill to play this game
-The DMR is a big crutch compared to the BR (auto aim and magnetism)
-Hitboxes too big, which hinders strafe
-Movement is sluggish and jump height
-Anybody can pick up this game without playing previous halo’s and be good at it
-AA’s are a joke and they break the game
-The maps are horrendous besides a select few, I hate grey world by the way.
-Grenades are now primary weapons
-Matchmaking is a joke, and you don’t get consistent and competitive games
-People trying to prove something to me by trying really hard in unranked because of my Arena % and 3.9 KD
-People I can smack in any Halo 1,2,3 can beat me in Rach.
-That moment when you lose in Reach and hop on Halo 3 and see their horrendous service records because they’re bad at Halo and good at “Reach”
My Halo experience: Halo 2 Level 40, Halo 3 Level 50 General (Grade 2), Halo Reach Forerunner: Arena 1% Onyx 3.9 KD in competitive.

What I learned from Reach is that self-entitled whining gamers isn’t a franchise specific habit.

You obviously don’t care because you have 0 games of arena played. Do you have any concept of how Halo 1-3 was compared to Reach. I’m a paying customer I deserve to complain about the trash. What other Halo has AA’s or bloom Neo? think about it
Obviously he doesn’t care about being Ranked because he doesn’t play Arena. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t care about what people think about Reach.
In all fairness, it’s just a matter of what a person prefers. I see you’ve never completed the campaign alone on Legendary. Maybe you only care about online gaming etc, but that’s just your perogative. Not so much an excuse for a whine fest. At least title the post more apropriately, ie “what I don’t like about Reach”, because I read your post thinking it would be enlightening and got something else.

Its called taking steps forward to improve gameplay and not keep it the same boring stuff every game. Its what good Developers do with their games to make sure their franchise stays alive and keeps a bright future.
> -Movement is sluggish and jump height
I don’t agree with most of the rest of what’s in the OPs statement, but I’ll fully get behind this statement. WORST…DECISION…EVER!

Halo CE had bloom and Halo Reach has AA and it looks like Halo 4 will have AA as well.
Welcome to the current incarnation of Halo, I might lend a little more credibility to your list of complaints if you had not played many many thousands of games of Reach.
I bet if I looked through your records, I would find that you have played more games of Reach then you did Halo 3.
So what happened, did you get beat by a gold division player?

No I don’t get beat by gold’s in arena, usually by top 5% onyx players. The problem I have with this game is that I could literally tear them into shreds in any other Halo, but Reach changed everything. It’s inclined to casual gaming which makes everything easier to do.
Was I the only person that played every Halo game without ever once being competitive? I just have some fun.
What I learned is that:
Sprint gives the game a different feel
Each AA can be overpowered by another
TU sucks
Arena is pretty fun, but once I’m on that, I cannot play team slayer.
Team Objective is more fun in Reach than in any other game.
Hemmorage is a major improvement compared to the horrible blood gulch map in Halo 1.
Forge was nice.
It’s amazingly fun when you’re in a LAN party.
Too many people quit from matchmaking. (I just quit my first game after 5 months. Feel kind of bad about it too.)
Core gameplay has changed throughout each Halo game.
Bloom doubled.
DMR is stronger than the BR.
Shooting in bursts is truly effective.
Explosions are fun.
Reach has it’s own style of custom games. Nothing like the classics.
I like applesauce.
That’s about it.
> No I don’t get beat by gold’s in arena, usually by top 5% onyx players.
You appear to be describing a gap in the levels of skill, or a “skill gap”, one that you appear to be at the top of.
> The problem I have with this game is that I could literally tear them into shreds in any other Halo, but Reach changed everything.
Reach is a completely different game and requires a different type of skill besides head-shots. I hate to keep pointing out inconsistencies in your statements, but you appear to have spent the entirety of your 8000 games killing 4 times more then the amount you were killed. Im looking at your Halo 3 record and you did not achieve this type of dominance in that game, so I fail to see how you are being held back in any way by the mechanics of Reach. How much better would you be if everything you listed was adjusted to your favor?
> It’s inclined to casual gaming which makes everything easier to do.
Video games are a casual pursuit, “competitive” gaming is such a small portion of the gaming world, why would a company gear their product towards what equates to maybe 2% if that of the people that play video games?
I just social and ranked, that would solve all the problems

0_0 what?

Stats don’t represent my gameplay and problems, plus every playlist besides Arena is unranked and most of the time I’m beating people to a pulp, but the people that do beat me I know I can beat them in any other Halo because of all the random elements they implemented in this game helped them win.
Geez, now you’re contradicting yourself.
> Geez, now you’re contradicting yourself.
No I’m not if any skill carried over from Halo 3 I would be one of the best players at this game, but I’m not. They added random elements such as bloom and armor abilites and pissed everything away. As I’ve stated before you don’t have to play any other halo to be good at Reach.
You don’t have to play any other Halo game to be good at Halo: CE.
You don’t have to play any other Halo game to be good at Halo 2.
You don’t have to play any other Halo game to be good at Halo 3.
You don’t have to play any other Halo game to be good at Halo: ODST.
You don’t have to play any other Halo game to be good at Halo Wars.
The Skill gap is non existent --Not true. Better players still beat worse players. Weapon timing, map control, and coordination in objective gametypes are still key things to winning a game.
-The game is designed for casual players --Eh, maybe. Depends on what you consider casual. It seems more semi-competitive. More competitive than H3 Social Slayer but less competitive than H3 Ranked matches.
-It takes no skill to play this game --BS… just BS
-The DMR is a big crutch compared to the BR (auto aim and magnetism) --That’s kinda cancelled out by the DMR being single shot while the BR is burst fire.
-Hitboxes too big, which hinders strafe --Doesn’t really hinder strafe that much, but the hitbox is too big.
-Movement is sluggish and jump height --Kinda agree. Could be a bit faster.
-Anybody can pick up this game without playing previous halo’s and be good at it --Not true. Only when playing against other noobs.
-AA’s are a joke and they break the game --Breaking and changing are different things my friend
-The maps are horrendous besides a select few, I hate grey world by the way. --Kinda agree on this one too
-Grenades are now primary weapons --They are too powerful, but they are by no means the primary weapon now.
-Matchmaking is a joke, and you don’t get consistent and competitive games --Play the MLG playlist. Problem solved.
-People trying to prove something to me by trying really hard in unranked because of my Arena % and 3.9 KD
-People I can smack in any Halo 1,2,3 can beat me in Rach. – What’s “Rach?” This probably just means you haven’t adapted to Reach very well. You need to play differently.
-That moment when you lose in Reach and hop on Halo 3 and see their horrendous service records because they’re bad at Halo and good at “Reach” --BS there are good Reach players. Just because you like Reach doesn’t mean you are bad at Halos 1-3.
My Halo experience: Halo 2 Level 40, Halo 3 Level 50 General (Grade 2), Halo Reach Forerunner: Arena 1% Onyx 3.9 KD in competitive.

P.S. You don’t have to play any other Halo game to be good at any of the games. I don’t even see why you brought this up. If you start with Halo 3, you can still be good at Halo 3.

So, you are saying
“I am better than everyone and if someone ever beats me it’s not because they are good, it’s because of bloom.”
So you are saying you are the best person at any Halo game ever?
You blame all of your loses on the game rather than yourself.
Get over it…
You were beaten…
End of story…
It’s not the game’s fault, it’s your own fault. Bloom affects EVERYONE.
