Things in H5 that you prefer over Infinite

You get a headache because I’m making valid points and it’s hard to defend your position.

I use math to compete. Always have. That’s why I liked Halo so much because on the old halos you had to time the oversheild or the power weapons. Now it’s all easy for you to see and on pads. The complete opposite of skifull gameplay. If I showed you a chess board there are going to be lopsided numbers. ALWAYS. vairbles do this to ANY system. The more variable’s you put. The more it becomes RNG.

From spawn the game is already invalid because you will spawn at any of the four spawns avaiable and each one of those spawns have a different distance to the equipment. So there is no equation that you can come up with that will result in eqaul numbers. It will always end up with someone having a higher number than the other and that higher number could be the different distances or the fact that they spawned on top of a dead body that had a pickup.

There is just no logical standpoint you can come from to defend equipment as competitive. You want it in social? Fine. That’s not my issue. But when it comes to competitive play it doesn’t belong

So your saying ABLITES are needed for high level play? What? So then what about classic Halo? Your saying Halo 2 didn’t have high level play?

Yes I enjoy it. Wow.

Doesn’t mean I don’t have feedback for the current game. I may not.like it but I still play it because I care about Halo. There’s many players like me. They don’t like Halo infinite but it’s what everyone is playing right now unfortunately because it’s a new game obviously

Of course I get a headache when I talk to you. I think when we talk, you put too much emotion into your arguments. You forget about the discussion at hand which loses all credibility with me. Case in point:

1: you said I was putting words into your mouth, and I quoted you with exactly what you said.
2. We were talking about Halo5, and how you need to master these abilities for high level play. Never did I say this was the case for Halo 2, or any other Halo game.
3. I’ve never defended equipment being in competitive gamemodes, and if I did, please quote me on that.

With all due respect I feel it best to end the discussion here. Not attacking you personally, I just don’t think I can have a discussion with you about this one particular topic.

EVERYTHING! There is nothing in Infinite that could satisfy me more than what Guardians has to offer; I’ll be so bold to say even the campaign as well! Still log in more hours in any given week on Guardians than in Infinite! :muscle: :muscle:

EVERYTHING IN MULTIPLAYER, Halo 5 did it better, even with customization.

Halo 5 had years to improve, but still 343 Industries should have learned from Halo 5 on how to improve Halo Infinite, but its neither here or there now and Infinite will soon be on its feet with hopefully rewards for those who beat the campaign on Legendary, fixes to the customization and adjustments to the in game shop.

  • I have faith in 343 Industries and any gaming company willing to listen to its community.

I love the thrusters, just makes a far more engaging, and complex movement mechanics. I understand alot of the initial aversion to it, but i prefer the larger skill gap H5 had in its MP. I can do without Spartan Charge, and Ground pound, even going with Infinites faster base movement and slower sprint was be a good medium, but really miss the thrusters.

Many of the weapons in Halo 5 were much more aesthetically pleasing, such as the battle rifle. Just had a more sci fi element that, while jarring to some fans, was a welcome addition to the eyes. Although, I prefer the H5 Beta variant in terms of function and performance than the current iteration. The Gunfighter Magnum is the OG pistol of my dreams, fast accurate, with slightly less damage and more recoil, it was the pistol I always dreamed it would be. The H5 Hydra is much more dynamic and more ergonomic looking. And the Plasma Castor was one of the best Covenant weapons added to the sandbox. The later addition of the grenade launcher and pro pipe made for more utility use than most other weapons. I also miss the SMG seen in Halo 5.

Much of the more detailed artstyle is gone, favoring a toned down, simplistic facade that just seems devoid of character. Some elements did need a more reigned-in approach, and I think that 343I nailed the Forerunner aesthetic in Infinite, however, thier simplistic artstyle choice for the Spartan models really is a step backwards in terms of art direction. Especially when you get so few iterations and customization options in Infinite. Only a few actually look OK, like the Mk VII, and the Soldier helms. The basic grey rectangles and geometric shapes, pasted onto the armor just seem too generic and placed without care to the function of its addition. The Reach armors at least have a more militaristic placement on the armor’s surface that make sense from a function standpoint. I compare it to the original Gundam from the OG Moblie Suit Gundam show- good for the time, but sunsequent series in the genre added details and tried new designs that were unique and cool and interesting to look at. Favorite armor to date is still the GEN 2 HUNTER Class armor used by Locke. Just had a sleek, dangerous look that was unique and perfectly fit Locke’s character.chef’s kiss

The lack of content is a kick in nads, and everyone was quick to jump on 343I after Halo 5’s launch, but Guardians had quite a bit more content at launch than Infinite does.

The “Dedicated Server” is a huge let down. For the past two days, most of Infinite has been unavailable. Whereas I jumped into H5 Warzone Firefight just hours ago, and immediately found a match and was able to play 4 matches without complications. How is this a problem with Infinite with more modern engines and better server technology? Just a huge let down. Especially since we’re going into the Holiday week and theres no fix until after the first of the year.
Just disappointing in my eyes.

That’s my hot take anyways.

Halo 5 has more weapons that are actually viable and work function properly with a console controller input, while Infinite’s weapons are built specifically for M&K input.

Power weapons actually being powerful, vehicle spawns not RNG, etc.

My favorite part is where you have a choice to unlock the armour or but it.

the halo 5 beta was the peek of halo 5, after that it was just down hill i feel like halo 5 was trying to appeal to the halo 3 player base while ignoring its existing fan base nerfing spartan abilities and weapon damage and now that infinite is out halo 5 fans are left with a dying watered down version of what could have been

everyone hates this game because it appeals to no one if you like halo 5 its probably because you like all halo games

for halo 5 to actually have been good from the beta 343 would have had to ignore the pros and halo 3 fans while giving their halo 5 fans what they wanted short term your giving the fans what they want, long term halo infinite comes out 6 years later so everyone ends up happy

the way they would fix the campaign is by making you play the entire campaign as your own multiplayer spartan hunting chief down to actually find the truth finishing what you started in halo 4 killing juil andama and capturing halsey also the chief fight is an actual boss fight that you cant win and in the end your spartan reunites chief with the arbiter

halo infinite is slow halo, halo 5 “should” be fast halo but its not its watered down fast halo

This the most for me.

You guys can quote this nonsense all day but it is still nonsense. We just like the movement more ahahaha.

Huge fan of halo infinite and was a huge fan of the Spartan abilities you had in halo 5.

I would love the abilities in halo infinite to be unlimited but with cool downs.

If I recall correctly, the Halo 5 campaign had a total of 15 missions where it was possible to play as Chief in 3 of them (20%). On the other hand, it should be noted the game did only feature 12 true missions as 3 of the none Chief missions was extremely short and didn’t feature any enemies. Due to this, it’s possible to argue that 25% of the missions in the was Chief missions.
