Things I would like implemented.

Now these are opinions that I’ve put together that I believe are not out of the question.

  1. Post carnage report. I believe the post carnage report should be in depth including not just kills/assists/deaths, but also Hit%, and you’re objective points such as these.

Hill: Time in hill, Hill defends and Hill offense kills.
Oddball: Ball time and Carrier kills.
Assault: Bomb plants, defuses, carrier kills and carry time.
Flag: Captures, returns, carrier kills and carry time.

These are just examples, but I believe this will really show just how someone is playing. I also believe that you should be able to see the medals you achieved that game as well. One cool feature could be able to sift through the last few, we’ll say 5 games and bring up said stats. Simply hit a button and you could just flip through them like a book and read through your performance.

  1. Respawn times and timers. I think as far as respawn times are concerned Slayer should get low respawn times 4-5 seconds as it keeps the game flow fast paced. You get killed and you’re back quickly to play.

Now objective game in my opinion I think those times should increase and this is why. So say you kill off the entire other team and go to run a flag and they instant spawn around you and you get 15 feet with the flag before being stopped. That would get quite frustrating. It’s debatable, but that’s my opinion on that matter.

Now I also believe respawn times should be in the game as well, if I remember correctly the beta didn’t have this. I may be wrong, but if I’m right then you would die, go to spawn and not have a timer telling when you would be back. Honestly I used that timer in previous Halos to help my team. I would let them know when I was about to respawn so they knew that if they pushed a position I would be there soon to back them up.

  1. Theater. Please make theater worth while this time. I understand Xbox one has the record feature now, but it’s really not all that good. I want H3 theater back. Four people allowed in the lobby to watch the film and the ability to save my films. MCC didn’t even have this function to my knowledge. As far as I know it just kept the last 12 games on file, but would drop them once more games were played.

  2. Sniper zoom time to fire time in my opinion was very slow. I would zoom in and there was a very short time it seemed I couldn’t fire. Maybe it was just me, but it felt very slow and clunky. If that is he case please fix this. I would have to say if I could use another Halo as an example I would want Halo 3 sniping as a template on which to use. It took skill to snipe in Halo 3, much more so than any of the other Halos, so I would like that back.

  3. Matchmaking. Okay now I’m sure we can all jump on board with this. Balanced matchmaking, not just by ranks. Please match teams with teams and solos with solos. If I’m in a team of 2 I shouldn’t match a full squad. Halo hasn’t had this since Halo 3 ranked. If you search with a team you match a team, basically you match people accordingly. This is honestly one of my biggest issues in the game, No one wants to get stomped while searching solo or stomp out others who stand no chance.

Another thing I would like to add is the matchmaking lobby should go back to H2.H3 style. You shouldn’t be able to see who you’ve matched until the voting has started, this should prevent people from being to dodge others and/or try to match others. The way it should work is you get placed into the lobby it should just say matched player until all players are found, then once the lobby has been created you can’t just back out with out it counting as a quit. Then the teams should be formed and the voting for maps begins.

  1. Alright now for the ranks. Competitive/progressive ranks are needed in my opinion.

Competitive ranks: Keep games fair and balanced for the most part. Make people try harder, male quit outs less frequent and and in my opinion just make the game more interesting/fun. I understand that the beta had the arena ranks, but they didn’t work. People were not matched accordingly to their ranks. I watched a stream where a full team of pro ranks matched a team of silvers. That simply shouldn’t happen.

Progressive ranks: Earn exp and earn an emblem, earn more exp get another emblem. Pretty simple. This keeps people playing whether they hit the max competitive rank or not. People love to play for copious amounts of hours to achieve these ranks. This will add longevity to the game and always give you something to shoot for.

No TL:DR either read the post or don’t. Feel free to comment and tell me if you agree, also feel free to add on as I’m sure there are things I have left out.

2. Lower respawn timers = quicker game. I prefer a longer 12-15minute halo game not 3 minutes.
3. I understand your concern with theatre as H4 was unfinished, but specter mode gives us a good hope.
4. The sniper (fixed) is fine, don’t convert everything to H3.
5. I think u missed the point of the beta on why we didn’t vote. (Hence beta)
6. Competitive ranks are fixed after the feedback and progression ranks = Spartan rank (Sr1-etc)

I like your ideas but ur comparing 2 full games to a beta, c’mon.
To your title: congratz majority of the stuff you wanted implemented is already in the game, or will be (playlists). Woot happy day

Not comparing. Simply things I would like to see in finished product. I’m not trying to convert everything to Halo 3, I simply think the sniper worked best in that game out of all the games in the franchise. Lower respawn times = quicker games is good in my opinion. Why would I want a 12 minute slayer game. Slayer games should be fast paced as opposed to the slower, more tactical OBJ game types. I also wan’t very partial to the SR ranks. Just a number that continues to increase to a higher number. I liked H3/Halo Reach progressive ranks. I would like to see a form of that return.

The beta is nothing but it was intended to be. A test which allows us to give feedback and find flaws. i’m well aware of the differences between the two and I simply wish for these ideas to be implemented into the final product. I’m also sure these ideas have been posted in previous threads, however I don’t come on this website nearly as much as I used, so I left this feedback.

People shouldn’t rank up or down from winning and losing either, I always hated getting 30+ kills in a match and still losing from incompetent teammates. And when you win that guy on your team who died like 27 times and got only one kill ranks up with you. It should be decided by as many factors as possible to get a good reading in the type of player as well as their skill.

graphics, gameplay, maybe some characters, etc.

What would have been cool: A combo of H3, Reach and H4’s ranks.

For example, someone who has fully ranked up in both EXP and Competitive play would be seen as:

SR.50 // INHERITOR
Idk, something like that. All I can say is that I hope to god the ranking system we saw in the beta is nowhere near complete. It was terrible. If that is pretty much the final product and its too late to overhaul it, just go grab the files for Reach’s ranking system and throw it in. While you’re at it, steal that games pre game lobby as well. It was the -Yoink-.
