Things I believe will make Halo Infinite great if not prefect. Polls included2

Halo Infinite has come a long ways since launch. There have been improvements. However the multiplayer still has a long way before it is great. To make it great the following needs to happen. I have added a poll after each one.
1: More game modes.
We need the modes that have made Halo great. We need for PvP Grifball, Infection, Swords and shotty, Shotty Snipers, Invasion.

  • Grifball
  • Infection
  • Invasion
  • Shotty Sniper
  • Swords and Shotty
  • All of Above
  • Neutral.

Along with this modes we need the ability to choose which mode we want to play. What I mean by this is having for example a BTB that has all modes, one that has only slayer types(king of hill, Slayer ect.) and one that has on objective types(CTF, Strongholds ect.). This will help with the problem of completed challenges that are based on modes. Example Win a Capture the Flag game.

For the PvE part we need Firefight or Warzone.

  • Firefight
  • Warzone
  • Both

2: Armor customization.
I am glad they have announced that they are working on things for the armor cores. All of which are taking a step in the right direction. That said to make it great they need to gives us full control on the color scheme as well. This reddit post is the prefect solution. https://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/qxyw94/a_compromise_that_works_for_everyone/

343 should also included previous Halo games emblems. My own favorite emblem Rune has been dearly missed. As well as giving us full control of the color scheme.

  • Keep as is.
  • Neutral.
  • More/popular emblems from previous Halo games, with control over color scheme.
  • More/popular emblems from previous Halo games, but keep color scheme as is.
  • All emblems from previous Halo games, with control over color scheme.
  • All emblems from previous Halo games, but keep color scheme as is.

3: The store.
When they said no micro transaction I was happy. However that was a false statement. Paying to get customization for our armors? Not cool, and the starting prices way too high. Even now it is too high. If we must pay for them then they should be no more than 3 dollars for a set, and no more than 1 dollar for one item. They should also gives us more ways to earn credits.

  • 3 or less dollars for a set, 1 dollar or less than a dollar for one item.
  • 3 dollars for a set, 1 dollar for one item.
  • Keep as is.
  • Keep as is, and give multiple ways to earn credits.
  • 3 dollars for a set, 1 dollar for one item. Give multiple ways to earn credits.
  • Neutral.

4: Credits
I have never been a fan of buying in game credits to get customization items, unless there was a way to earn it while playing the game. In my opinion we should get credits completing set number of challenges, or at the very least when completing the Ultimate Challenge. It doesn’t have to be much, a 100+ credits and no more than what the main weakly item is worth. and that would be for completing the Ultimate Challenge. So on top of earning the the prize of the ultimate weekly challenge you also get credits. Then 25 to 50 credits per every 5 or 10 weekly challenges completed. 10 to 20 credits for completing 10 daily challenges in one day and can only be earned twice a day. Then also earning credits through the Battle Pass. Something like every 10 to 20 levels earning 25 to 50 credits via the free, and/or 50 to 100 for every 25 to 50 levels via the paid Battle Pass. Also they could give us Monthly Challenge or Challenges, and/or Weekly Challenges to complete in Campaign to earn 50 to 100 credits.

  • Earn 100+ Credits plus reward for completing Ultimate Challenge. With earning no high than what the highest costing weekly store item.
  • Earn 25-50 Credits every time you complete 5 to 10 weekly challenges.
  • Earn 10-20 Credits twice a day for completing 10 to 20 daily challenges.
  • Earn 25 to 50 credits through Free Battle Pass at every 10 to 20 levels.
  • Earn 50 to 100 credits through Paid Battle Pass at every 25 to 50 levels.
  • Monthly Challenge or Challenges, and/or Weekly Challenges to complete in Campaign to earn 50 to 100 credits.
  • All of Above.
  • Keep as is.
  • Neutral.

5: Challenges.
The current challenges they have are good. However, I believe that none shouldn’t be limited to PvP. All challenges should be available to complete in Bot Bootcamp. There are a few, but having all challenges available to complete whether you play PvE or PvP. If not all then we need more challenges available to complete in PvE.

  • All challenges with no PvE or PvP restrictions.
  • More challenges that can be completed in PvE.
  • Keep as is.
  • Neutral.

Along with this we need the ability to see progress during a match on our challenges. Or be able to pull up the app or go to the website and see our progress during a match.

  • See progress of challenges during match, in game.
  • See progress of challenges during match via app, website.
  • Both.
  • Neutral.
  • Keep as is.

Then there are the Ultimate Challenges. I believe we should be able to pick whether or not to do the current one or try for a previous one. I know there are ones in the past I would love to get, but I was either far to busy with work, had family emergency or was on vacation and couldn’t earn said reward. And to make it fair, you are only allowed to work on one that whole week. So no take backs or working on multiple ones.

  • Keep as is.
  • Allowed to pick from current or past Ultimate Challenge.
  • Neutral.

If these changes are made, I am sure Halo can be what many thought we would get at least for the Multiplayer part. If you agree, please fill the polls out and let your friends know about the post. With the changes coming it been clear that 343 is at least in a small degree listing to us. I am a firm believe that given options they will listen more and make the changes. So make sure to spread the word so we can get high numbers of players visiting this post and doing the poll. See you Spartans on the battlefield.

6 Technical Flights.
So I am going to add something here. With the release of Season 2, there has been quite a few post, okay lets be honest tons of post. Which the majority are complaints. There are those that have legit concerns. As well as a ton of most likely bugs being reported. Such as the massive amount of melee challenges for Last Spartan Standing(LSS) or progress for challenges not tracking. But there seems to have been several bugs and things not fully test. I got a quick question for 343, was there a technical flight for Season 2? If there wasn’t, why not? If there had been I am sure a lot of things were have been worked out correctly and there wouldn’t be as many complaints. Also 343 you know that things act differently when you have more players playing. Anyways I believe there should be a technical flight before every season, so challenges and bugs can be found before the seasons begans.

Some of the poll options are unrealistic and will get votes, of course people want cheap full sets but it isnt going to happen.

I also think being able to select exact mode is a bad idea. It’s a bad idea for Halo MCC and so I think they’ve learnt their lesson not to introduce it into Infinite.

More playlists is always welcome provided they don’t overdo it. Population split is a real issue that needs to be managed accordingly. I think for the bare minimum the game should have weekly playlists rotated in and out. Halo 3 double exp weekend was great. If they bring back a progression system I’d love to see double exp or even double exp towards battle pass from the weekend playlist.

I think a basic colour palette for players would be good. One colour all over with a secondary for shoulders. Now we have seen armour coatings and how nice they can be it shouldn’t affect sales as most people will probably still want the more intricate designs and those that just want to have their colours can use the basic setting. I was against this prior to launch, but I have no issue with this being incorporated now and don’t think it would affect profit margin much while giving lots of old school players what they want. If it isn’t something easily done in the game then working on it may not be worthwhile at this time of course.

Earnable credits I agree with but has to be way less than what you’re referring to. I’d also restrict it to people who bought the game also. Some sort of caveat to ensure cashflow is not too negatively affected by it. Maybe reward frequent play. That will help the game considerably, you want people logging a few games daily if possible. The lack of daily incentives is bizarre. Most modern games have them because that’s key for healthy population.

I like your topic, it’s constructive, you’ve explained your points and have for the most part fair options to choose from. Thank you.

Yeah the earnable credits was hard to come up with a number. I am not sure how much would be balanced. However being able to grind for Credits is what I am mainly going for. That is why I came up with completing a set number of challenges, instead of every challenge. Though I did catch I didn’t give a number for Weekly Campaign challenges. It would depend on how many challenges they gave. If they gave say 20 to complete, we need to earn 15 out of 20 to get the credits.
Also I am glad you pointed out the credit deal, cause I messed up with the Free Battle Pass and the Paid, it should be flipped. and the amount earned for paid should be less. Well across the board it should be less, now that I think about it. I will try to fix that.
For the modes I don’t mean for every single one should have one. Just a general deal. Right now everything is grouped together. I would like to see for example BTB has a slayer only and a objective only option. Thank you by the way for pointing that out. I clearly didn’t make that clear, my bad.
Thanks for your input. It is good to have other points of views and opinions. It is nice to see more people out that think about things.

To everyone that visit this post, I look forward to hearing what you think. I look forward to see how everyone votes. And to reading the comments.

It really isn’t.

MCC is split between console and PC with no crossplay. and both have a low playerbase.
If Infinite had a higher playerbase, it wouldn’t affect playlist health much, if at all.

Good point. Plus with these fixes I am sure we get more players play Halo Infinite.

I played Splitgate back when it had a decent playerbase, and the mode/playlist health was just fine except for a few specific modes (they were unpopular)

Infinite would have a much higher playerbase

Personally? I think Halo Infinite would be better off with a system where purchasing credits is entirely optional. In a more perfect world, credits would be inherently organic to earn and prices would have a net increase to match-- thus giving players things to spend their time grinding towards (if they would so prefer) while continuing to make the purchasing of credits rational.

Think of Destiny 2’s Bright Dust store, but it doesn’t suck to earn Bright Dust. That’s sort of what I’m picturing.

Yeah I stopped playing Destiny after Prince was chosen as a Guardian. Biggest dis to Cayde. Who was in my opinion the best character.

Tbh, a Reach type of system would’ve been great imo.

You earn credits and then grind towards what you want.
New seasons add new content to the shop.

You can buy premium which doubles your credit gain, and you can also buy credits outright.

The Reach system has been by far the best system they have used. But that doesn’t give companies additional money.

your idea for the campaign credits was the best from that part basically using fortnites system its kinda genius especially cuz it would cause more people to buy campaign just make the challenges only completable after you beat the game so the open world can be shown off for one and 2 it gives a reason to keep those saves open

Thank you. I was very disappointed that they had no real incentive to play the campaign. The plot for Halo Infinite was epic. There is a legit reason why Chief wasn’t finish off by Atriox, and was to make Cortana feel despair at John being defeated. So she could a feel a little of what Atriox felt when Cortana spoiler destory Atriox homeworld. Then there were the different twist. And we got to see a side of Chief we only read about in books.

Your a god dang genius

All challenges with no PvP or PvE restrictions.

I think this is very important. If players could just do every challenges in bot slayer, I think they would. I don’t care if players quit bot matches, it’s not like I need a full team to win. Basically it would create a space where challenge-chasers can do their thing in peace without ruining games for more serious players. This would naturally improve the PvP experience too. And for people who don’t want to cheese their challenges in bot bootcamp, they don’t have to. PvP would be a high quality experience with less quitters or players not playing the objective, etc.

That definitely fixes the store, we can farm and those who want to skip farming pay.

It’s Beatiful.

For customization, 343 should make it so attachments change color with the coatings like in Reach. It sucks having a cool coating, only for a grey attachment to ruin the look.

You underestimate the power of grind.

People would rather skip a grind than get stuff for free

I would personally like to have a service record of sorts in game and a more detailed one on waypoint. That and a progression system are probably the only things outside what you already listed that I believe halo infinite needs to be great.

Thank you. Glad you like what i posted. Here hoping 343 takes this to heart.
