Things halo 6 might have

And I said “might have”

  • The brutes - maybe arbiter is a playable character - you get to play as the elites in mp - campaign main characters might be blue/fire team - Bringing back all the brute vehicles/weaponsi mean that’s my opinion what are yours?

I’ve got a loooong list for Story, and shorter one for gameplay. This is the post I will make for story.

I hope they fix the damn story. Osiris’ characterisation was good, and I enjoy the level design greatly - not only that, they did a great job of making Cortana seem evil, but Blue Team were so generic it was painful and there’s lots of people out there who refuse to believe that Cortana could just heel turn from basically being utterly devoted to the Chief to feeling comfortable betraying him and locking him up in a Cryptum.

If Microsoft makes them do re-writes again, this time try and make for damn sure that they still don’t stick with the original marketing campaign so it misleads people. If the story gets downgraded, own it and don’t lie to people.

And for the love of god, can they at least try and salvage some of the -Yoink- they set up but Microsoft knocked over, like the Janus Key? Goddammit. I know Halsey’s revenge isn’t gonna be a thing, and I know the ONI and insurrectionist sub-plots are basically 100% beamed out of existence at this point, but try and make good on some of the stuff that was going to be a thing. Give us a storyline that wraps up the Janus Key, Didact and Created in a satisfying way and then forget about this -Yoink- and find something else to do. Bring back the Flood next. That 'ought to shake things up and thoroughly move us on from this -Yoink-.

And while we’re at it, it’s probably a good idea to wrap up the Chief so we don’t get an awkward change of voice actor someday - Steve Downes has probably had enough of this -Yoink- and wants to retire. The solution I see for this is have Chief take off the helmet so we have a reason for him to sound different at the end of the Reclaimer saga, presumably Halo 6, and make him a supporting character instead of the main character, like an admiral or some -Yoink-. Draw elements from Osiris and the other Spartan-IVs to replace him as the lead.

Gameplay wise? Get rid of Smart-Scope. It’s actually not that useful in-game, and it just pisses off the old-timers. Spartan charge and ground pound need to go - perhaps they could return in the form of some kind of revised type of armour ability? I like that idea. These armor abilities, however, are particularly lethal and work more like power weapons - not everyone on a team will have them at once. Things in bold are new ideas I just kinda came up with on the spot.

Armour abilities - ground pound (larger area of effect), spartan charge (sends targets that are hit flying a great distance back in the air and stuns), jetpack (extended fuel over previous titles), bubble shield (repulses enemies, allows allies to shoot through), Electromagnetic Pulse Emitter (basically blasts everything in a certain radius with the same effect as an overcharged plasma pistol, including the user of the ability, leaving vehicles stunned and all Spartans shield-less), active camo (causes the user to become completely invisible even when moving quickly, except if really close and the shimmer can be seen. If they sprint, jump, melee, or fire, enemy VISR temporarily outlines them in red if active. Active-camo is automatically de-activated if the user’s shields are broken, and shield flaring can be seen with camo engaged if the target is hit), Smart-Linked Auto-Targeting Module (Soldier 76’s tactical visor from Overwatch for a limited period, focuses on the centre-of-mass, not the head. Canonically a module containing a very expensive, specialised dumb-AI which takes over the position of the user’s weapon to focus on high-value targets with expert precision).

Spartan abilities - sprint, thruster pack, slide, hijack, clamber, VISR (highlights the environment and detects things of interest - highlights fast-moving active active camo users but the user gets visual interference when hit by plasma or EMP, forcing them to de-activate it).

Y’know something else that would be really badass in Warzone? Off-map call in strikes. For REQ energy, you can but things like AI ODST squads which land and murder enemies in an area, guided Lancet micro-missile drone strikes, Mini-MAC blasts, tankbuster strafing runs. I know it seems pretty COD-ified, but it’d be certainly badass with a Halo spin and only in Warzone.

I like the way you think…I do miss the armor abilities
