Even with all of the flaws Halo 5 has, I still think it’s a pretty fun game and it added some pretty good things that should be carried over into the next Halo.
Thrusters - I like the added mobility and the fact that 343 didn’t focus the game on thrusters. It’s just enough to go back around the corner if you get shot at or into the next piece of cover. Nothing too big
Infinite sprint and no shield recharge while sprinting - this is only if they add sprint in Halo 6. If they don’t have sprint, that’s fine too.
Clamber - helps you reach that ledge that’s normally juuuuust out of reach, though base jump should still be increased
Warzone - with the right tweaks and total revamp of the REQ system, this could be an amazing game mode in Halo 6.

I liked the dialogue missions, especially the love poem to Palmer, but I hated that before release, 343 grouped them in with the rest of the missions to give us the illusion of a longer campaign

They did ? Honestly , I didn’t follow the news very often before halo 5 came out , so I never heard about how many missions there was.
The REQ system, but helmets should be combined with armor sets and visors should be a primary and secondary color palette like armor. That would help narrow down the REQ system some. It’s a bit much right now. I don’t like microtransactions, but (begrudgingly) it’s better than mandatory paid DLC.
We should keep every single arena gamemode we have now going into Halo 6. Halo 6 should not ship as barebones as Halo 5. We still also need Race, One sided gamemodes, and a FFA Oddball setting.
I would get rid of Spartan Charge, add 2-3 seconds of cooldown to Thruster Pack, and reduce the horizontal aim distance on Ground pound, but increase the damage. charge speed, and radius very slightly.
