Reduce the shotguns range and rate of fire just a tiny but to Halo Reach specs.
-
Remove weapon timers and call outs. I now see people camping in front of a weapon timer for 30 seconds or a minute to make sure they pick it up first. While they do this, they are not supporting their team so basically this feature is distracting.
-
Add a clan system if one is not already implemented.
-
Add some blood in multiplayer.
-
Add a custom game browser.
Actually, the Only halo game you’ve Played is Halo: Reach. This isn’t Reach, it’s Halo 5, and I’m sorry but I like that 343 isn’t giving us a Copy and paste of past games, like COD does with every game in the series.
If people are being allowed to camp the weapon spawns, then the other team clearly isn’t controlling the map.

- Agreed, but I believe Josh Holmes already said that it’s been toned down.
- I don’t mind weapon timers, but shorten the timer to ten seconds. Call outs can be toggled off.
- Sure
- Eh
- Yes
Don’t care for any of those things. A functioning and highly visible recruitment forum would suffice for your fifth point. One and two are needless regressions. Three hasn’t been necessary in a long time. Four is personal preference that isn’t important.

- Id say increase its range.
Though i wouldnt mind if the baseline shotgun got nerfed but the higher tier ones just got stronger and stronger
so say the baseline shotgun is like you say, then the tier 1 shotgun has 25-50% more range/rate of fire/damage with the tiers improving like this the further up you go so that the legendary/mythic shotguns are some uber weapons
So the damage/rate of fire/range ect would all go up like this
Baseline = 1 Damage / Rate Of Fire / Range
Tier 1 = 1.5 Damage / Rate Of Fire / Range
Tier 2 = 3 Damage / Rate Of Fire / Range
Tier 3 = 6 Damage / Rate Of Fire / Range
Exotic = 12 Damage / Rate Of Fire / Range
Legendary/Mythic = 24 Damage / Rate Of Fire / Range

i see no need to remove the weapon timers or call outs, but making them toggle able [so i could go into settings and turn them off if i wanted] would be alright, i like them and think they help out alot.
-
a clan system would be ok i see no reason to add it
-
I’ve got no problem with there being more blood in game
-
a custom games browser would very much be welcomed
The only thing 343 NEEDS to do is just keep one doing what they are doing, or show us some forge
1- I like that the shotgun is getting toned up, its a power weapon.
2- Power weapon spawn camping happened in H3 so I don’t think the indicators are actually a real factor
3- thats not as important as it once was
4- eh, not really that important

exactly this.

Thank you, for being logical, and not saying ridiculous things.

I agree. They are mot fighting hard enough if they can do that.

Exactly.

From what I’ve heard from the impressions from Gamescom this might be something that 343 might want to do. The devs themselves said that they are considering making changes to the shotty based on feedback.
-
Don’t see how this is any different from people camping vehicle spawn which has been going on since Halo 2. Annoying, but not that big of a deal. If a teammate is so obsessed over getting that power weapon that he is not contributing to his allies efforts then he really would not be that big of a help even if he tried. Tryhards are always wastes of teamspace.
-
Agreed.
-
Eeeh, a bit of blood splatter might be nice but Halo has never really been a gory series to begin with (unless you count the hilariously over the top buckets of blue, purple and orange blood that exploded from Covies in Halo: CE).
-
Would be a cool addition but would probably take way too much effort without any guarantees that it will have been worth it. Custom games are something that usually involves a bunch of friends coming together and screwing around. Can’t see that same atmosphere being recreated with randoms.
-
Josh Holmes has already said they’ve addressed it by removing its reserve ammo (only 5 shots now) and they’ve also reduced its 1SK range some. Was it an overreaction considering the Shotgun is a power weapon? Only time will tell.
-
Setting up in order to secure a spawning power weapon is an in-game tactical decision. The timers and call-outs increase the amount of in-game action/engagements. I support their inclusion.
-
No; unless you’re referring to an outside of the game system through Waypoint with minor in-game customization tie-ins. There’s no reason for in-game Clan support to return as it’ll only harm the matchmaking system by unnecessarily fracturing the player base.
-
Sure.
-
Agreed; if you’re referring to a browser like what was in Reach.
How does number four affect anything gameplay-wise?
- This has already been done
- Just lower the timer so people won’t wait so long.
- That’s fine, I see no problem with this. It helps build a community and brings others together
- Game has been rated T for teen so I doubt that will happen.
- Also a good point, this has been brought up several times. This would allow people to search for games they think might be fun and get others ideas out there into the community.

Already happened.
-
Not going to happen but there is a toggle for you. Other people’s behaviour isn’t 343i’s fault. It’s those people’s behaviour.
-
Maybe this will happen?
-
Might happen. The ESRB says Rated T for Teen for blood, mild language, and violence
-
Probably not going to happen.
#3…
Anyone remember the discovery of “Spartan Companies?”
I’m sure we’ll see a clan system.

If we do see that, can you be in my clan? <3
Also why haven’t we played together yet??

Lol, if I join a clan it’ll probably be for Halo players in and around the Chicago area, but even then I really only game with my old Halo 2 LAN party friends from way back. It seems we all simultaneously became homeowners/parents/professionals–you know, old fogies.
