Please for the love of all that is Halo will 343 drop the whole fist bumping frat bro celebrations at the end of the match, and the stupid animation at the start of the match. In the fictional universe matchmaking was always live fire exercises, not games. I believe that Spartans would never celebrate their victory by raising arms and fist bumping, these are trained super soldiers not sportsmen. And while your at it 343 can you include an option to turn off in game call outs, not only are they annoying as hell, but!!! and no offence intended here, they’re all American, and here was I thinking UNSC meant the whole of planet earth not just the U.S.
But it is a simulation, thus it’s more of a game then it was before.
Plus it adds some humanity to them, these spartans are way more plentiful then ever before.
If you read the books spartans are not supposed to show emotion, its one of the things that makes them unique. They would never act like immature frat boys. They are super soldiers not gloating idiots.

These are Spartan 4s though, with a more accepting program and the GEN2 armor creation means there’s more diversity like a melting pot in a country.

Exactly, Spartans are professional soldiers. Not Frat Bros.
Agreed. They should be trying to raise the standards of the adolescents, not pandering to them.
more to the point these spartan 4’s are all volunteer from existing forces, soldiers are frat boys (generalization FTW!), these are combat simulations, why not enjoy winning?
as long as in the campaign they act like soldiers i dot care if they’re relaxed about simulated murder
Cept ODST’s have always been cocky as -Yoink- and I can only see that being amplified but becoming Spartans AND its a simulations where they bested fellow Spartans now win a war. you are comparing Spartan II at war to essential Spartan IV playing a game.
look at locke and his squads body language it’s when they are actually on the job
I really think this forum needs poll options, especially in a beta feedback section. Honestly, I’d be surprised if 1% of gamers are actually pleased with Spartans acting like it’s the Jersey Shore. It’s… just… really… lame…
Thy’re spartan 4’s they’ve always been -Yoink- bag jocks.
God Spartan IV’s are so immature am I right?
Spartan IVs volunteer to be Spartans. They’re not kidnapped and raised to be soldiers. Even Halsey remarks on how many Spartan IVs are not capable of being “Spartans.” The Spartan IVs are much more human because they lived human lives before opting into the Spartan program, so the War Games simulations are more of a game to them than training. It fits in with the fiction, but I would like it toned down a bit. It feels too “football.” Plus, I really dislike the R and B icons.
You are wrong OP…they are frat bros and they are not spartans, that’s why when their time comes to defend earth they are gonna fail…and chief is gonna bail them out, and he wont high five ANYONE after doing it
Despite that they are Spartan IV’s and are volunteers. They should still be soldiers first and not dude bros. If you volunteer to be enhanced and placed in special high tech armor, you should be a respectful, responsible soldiers, and not a dude bro.

Even if Spartan IV’s volunteer they’re still professional soldiers, and if you ask any soldier they don’t celebrate like frat bros after a conflict, training exercise or not. These actions undermine the credibility of the Spartans and leave them feeling like nothing but jocks.

But I see it as more lively and a competition between your fellow brethren. Heck there was even a giant scoreboard on Breakout that showed stats, this IS a gaming simulation to them.
Why I hate that 343 made multiplayer cannon. What if I want my spartan to be silent or have flames their head?
This is pretty much the #1 thing I would change. It comes off so cheesy, not to mention it’s the single same animation every single time. I’d rather they were just standing there like the intro if they won.

Trained soldiers are brothers in arms. During War Games simulations, it is a friendly competition. They do take it seriously, as it is a training exercise meant to evaluate their performance. Losing teams likely get an earful from commanding officers. However, in the fiction of Halo, the simulations appear to be gamified in an effort to award effort and encourage Spartans to train harder. Since this is the meat and potatoes of the game, it makes sense to gamify the War Games to match the player experience.

Wow, are you some spokes person for Apple? Just because we put an ‘s’ at the end of something doesnt mean it has to be more diverse than the one before it.
