Basically this would be another halo series, but only in the aspect that it would be in the same universe as halo. It would be released and made independently from the regular halo trilogy. It should take place in the 2400s, and should be called “Halo Insurrection” or “Halo: Civil War” It would take place in a human civil war UNSC against the insurrection, and basically you would play as ODSTs, and marines, and even insurrectionist soldiers. THe game would be much more similar to battlefield or COD like games than it would halo. It would feature aiming down the sight, large scale battlefield like multiplayer, and weapons customisation.

This, I know it’s a good idea and all, but it really is just milking out the series and attract attention away from the main trilogy.
If they were to release a strictly Single Player game like ODST in between Halo 4, 5 or 6, I would be fine with it, as it would not attract attention away from the Multiplayer section of the main trilogy.
I think I’ll pass.
The series has gone through enough as it is.

More like CoD and Battlefeild than Halo? Why not let them make the game. Why not let 343 sell Halo to the CoD makers and let Halo be ruined. Let the Reclaimer Trilogy be scrapped and replaced with Call of Duty: Halo. Great idea.

CoD did not come up with the supply model they are currently using, believe it or not some others have figured out when you have somthing popular, expansion makes sense. Halo has now passed a decade of age and remains a huge draw for the XboX, to allow the next decade to go by without distributing more product under the Halo brand would be a mistake. Halo as a brand has used a supply model over the last decade that has allowed it to fall out of the focus of of the average game buyer. Waiting even two years between a FPS franchise game release would be a mistake in the future if Halo as a brand wants to compete.
Nintendo didnt just make a few Mario Bros games and that seemed to work out well for them, Master cheif, Halo and XboX got the same thing going for it.
Op, people that want that type of gameplay play those games, people who want halo’s play halo. Making a halo cod game wouldn’t attract any new users and would only push away the current, they would be killing the franchise.
I completely agree. It would be a halo game for people who don’t like halo and would have that battlefield feeling to it. I love this idea, the people on the forums probably won’t but majority will. But the proper halo games should still be made. 343 should assign a small team of skilled people to make one but still focus completely on the real halo games.
I think they should branch out and make side story games that aren’t first person shooters, like they did with Halo Wars. Halo is a huge universe that has lots of room for different mediums and genres.
How about an odst 2? inbetween halo 4-6!
