I am absolutely sick and tired of every time i play war zone and getting pushed out of the way or getting nothing but, wasps, banshees, or phaetons in my retical when warden eternal spawns. They need to fix this stupid issue, Its becoming beyond ridiculous. Anyone out there feel the same?
Are you talking about Firefight when he’s in the home base cause I don’t see how two of those would get in your way in normal Warzone unless you mean on Stormbreak or something?

To clarify I’m not talking warzone i’m talking in heroic and legendary warzone the ones where there is not two teams. Thats all i usually play. Never once has he been in the home base when i have played.
Okay, that’s what I thought you meant, but just wanted to make sure. Unfortunately, any Firefight changes are highly unlikely so you’ll just have to bully your way past those vehicles or try and different strategy.

Figures things need fixed and yet there not getting fixed. I don’t really play regular warzone never really anyone on.

Nothing needs fixed in this case. 343 can’t control what reqs players want to use or how they want to use them. Sounds like you just need to position yourself in other areas of the maps to get better shots on target.

Its this stupid warden commendation that they had to enlist in the game and it had to be a certain way.

All it has to be is land the killing shot and it’s easier to get that killing shot in a vehicle. Not to mention it’s easier to make sure your team kills him in short amount of time there is. The best weapons to kill the warden with is tanks. Spartan lasers, sniper rifles, and rocket launcher can be used but it can be tricky to land that killing shot with them.

However its much easier said than done.
Not to mention when you have warden eternal spawn in a very small area and you get teammates who get in banshees and get in your way or block your shots.

I disagree. The Wardens and other bosses in the home base is bad design and causes problems that the OP is complaining about. This wouldn’t be an issue if 343 made actual Firefight maps instead of reusing ones made for Warzone.

They place wardens in bases because they want players to use the weapon reqs. But of course there will always be players who try and cram vehicles in there. It can be irritating to try and get shots on the warden in those cases but it’s not impossible by any means.

I don’t believe that because people use weapon REQ’s on Wardens that aren’t in the bases as well. It would also be demanding a lot if they expect everyone to use limited ammo weapon REQ’s on 3 Wardens plus the 2 Knight bosses that come before the Wardens when a lot of times it goes to almost the entire round limit or they fail when people are using vehicles as well.
I think putting them in the home base was just the most doable spot to put them on most of the Warzone maps especially ones like Stormbreak where there isn’t a lot of space to begin with. If they made maps specifically for Firefight, then they wouldn’t have that problem.

Hi LethalQ. I’m not sure what your point is here. Lukepowa says it’s bad design to put Wardens in bases because it leads to issues like the one OP has. You then respond to that by saying #1 they put Wardens in bases because they want players to use weapons instead of vehicles and #2 it’s irritating but not impossible to get shots in at a Warden in a base with a tank. So are you saying it’s therefore not bad design to put Wardens in bases? If that’s what you’re saying, I can’t agree.
Let me start by emphasizing how much of a handicap it really is to use weapons instead of vehicles in Warzone Firefight. Even with the most powerful req weapons such as Nornfang or the Spankr Prime, you are barely going to put a dent in the Warden’s health before running out of ammo. On top of that, you’re in far more danger of dying when you’re not protected inside of a vehicle, even if you equip an overshield.
But I’m sure you are aware of that already. The point I’m trying to make is, why design firefight in such a way that forgoing vehicles is such a gigantic handicap, and then design some of the rounds in such a way that using vehicles is discouraged? Do you really not think that’s bad design? Doesn’t it seem kind of silly to make req weapons so pathetically weak against Wardens, and then try to make players use them against Wardens anyway, even though Scorpions exist?
I mean really, in terms of game design, what is the benefit of placing random restrictions on players who enjoy using tanks against Wardens, and trying to force them to use something far weaker? Wouldn’t it be better design to put Wardens in open spaces where he can get shot at by any kind of req, including weapons and heavy vehicles?
Maybe 343 thought putting Wardens in bases where tanks can’t effectively reach him would make it more challenging or something, but that’s not a good way to add a challenge if you ask me. It’s just frustrating and, like you said, irritating. The challenge should come from the boss itself, not from its placement on the map. Lukepowa is right, putting Wardens in bases is bad design.
Have to agree with Lukepowa and Nate here, placing wardens and bosses in cramped inaccessible areas is ridiculous and like Nate states they would be better positioned in the open so that players of all types and skill level have a fair and fighting chance, be it on foot or in vehicles… I agree with OP here that it’s just annoying having them in positions that ensure a complete traffic jam at that critical point in the game when essentially the team can’t appropriately work together to be effective.
I agree the position of some bosses is a pain in the back side but its not going to be changed now so OP needs to go down a different route. How about getting one of those vehicles and getting in there first ! or join a team and work together to take them down?
It maybe a bad design but it’s not physically broken where it needs a fix. Even if they put the warden out in the open the OP complaint would still be valid and most would always just use vehicles, and I even see people get right on top of the warden in vehicles when he is in the open. So the OP would still be struggling to get that kill shot. Putting the warden in the bases was an easy way to make the game harder. Just like the lame automatic longer respawn timer, die once in the final round and still have to wait 25 seconds to respawn? Lame… But anyways yeah I hate when players crowd the base with vehicles trying to get the warden in the base. Sadly no one wants to use mics and work together anymore.

Getting in there first you say? There little to no chance of that since when you just get in your gonna get rammed by your own teammates so that option is immediately shutdown.

Then change the way the warden kill gets distributed then. Because currently You kill the warden you get a point towards commendations and a the mythic or legendary medal. You assist the warden kill you get the same medal mythic or legendary but yet no point towards the commendation. How does that make any sense? Please do explain.
Killing warden eternal is a team effort you will not solo kill him no matter even in the most powerful vehicle, so why should you award one player the kill and not the rest when its a team effort and you and the team kill the boss together as a team.
This also goes for the grunt mech one as well. At least he spawns in the open.

If thats true they why are the weapons so bad in game then none of them even with a full clip could do some real damage to warden whether he is a mythic or legendary version.
