its like literally the single most important part in the book and they screwed it up!
Coin flip? WTF are you ranting about?
The fall of reach!!! And they just screwed up the hike to! Sam ran point on the hike!
its a coin flip…seriously?
what?! really? : /
Oh no looks like 343 messed up the entire franchise again
These forums over the last 24 hours are out of control
They are highlighting John in a different way. I think it was a great choice for an adaptation.

I’m not gonna go that far. lol they didn’t follow the book though. which happens a lot when it’s made into a movie but you expect smaller scale animated series to be more accurate than a big Hollywood film for the masses. I’m still going to watch it and what I’ve seen so far is great!
Seeing as how The Fall of Reach is literally a literal piece of Literature. Wouldn’t, literally, the most important part be, you know, Reach … Falling … since that’s the title of the literal work of literature?
How should have it been done?
What’d they mess up about it?
I’ve read it a number of times, but small details like that evade me.
Not every film adaptation from a book is true to the book.
LoTRs was a lot different than Tolkien’s books.
Look. I’m not a halo flamer! I love halo and I think 343 dos a decent job so far, but, I am very surprised with all the halo lore fans on this site there isn’t more of an uproar. That meeting it the first experience with our main character. In the book Halsey flips the coin on the last try and John grabs it out of mid air, telling Halsey which side he was going to show before he even grabbed the coin. After the act, Halsey wondered to herself was he that good, or could he have picked which side he wanted to show her. It’s a very poignant moment honestly.

I thought they flipped I once and john caught it.
Either way I expected things to cut down and modified slightly. Still said that, im actually very pleased with how episode one turned out. Also though the whole thing would be maybe 35-40 minutes, nope much longer total run time
I was happy with it lol I overreacted it’s my favorite part of the book
