Remember when we first saw the new H4 Sniper a while back?
If you watch the new UNSC armory video, you can see in the Sniper section that they cleaned up the design, simplifying the scope and getting rid of the wire on the right side!

The gun has the same body, just a more polished skin. I believe that was the problem many people had/have with it.

Doubt that very much.
The likely situation is that they recieved a lot of negative feedback from the E3 build that showcased the older sniper, and decided to simplify it a bit. I think it looks great!
It looks almost as if the scope is closer and lower, and it opens up more of the screen on the right side. I’m okay with it.
Scope is definitely sleeker looking. No more looking like a WW2 radio.
Meh, people are still going to -Yoink- about it no matter what.
You can have any color, as long as it’s black! 
Guess there really is nothing glowy, shiny blueness can’t fix.
Whatever, it’s still rather unsightly compared to the older designs.
