We asked, and they listened. I’ve seen an unbelievable amount of criticism over Halo 5 lately, and one thing that stuck out to me was Bungie vs 343i. A debate began about how there was no file browser search, so aside from being friends with someone with good maps, how else are you supposed to find them? It was also brought up that Bungie Favorites was a classic addition to H3, giving everyone a chance in the spotlight as well as getting some classic maps/gametypes out to community. If you haven’t noticed yet when you start up Halo 5 there is new news feed page that reads;
“We’re once again happy to shine the spotlight on some wonderful community creations. Reaper and Flapjack Frenzy have become quite popular in the studio, and we wanted to share them with you. To plat these minigames with your friends, add our gamertag ‘The343Favorites’ as a friend, and bookmark the corresponding Map Variants and Game Variants from our file browser. Enjoy!”
Honestly, I don’t feel this can be considered a “feature” nor do I think it will be nearly as successful and popular as Bungie favorites was, but it’s a step in the right direction.
