They don't "owe" us anything

your right, and we don"t owe them our money for a incomplete game. that is trash by the way.

Honestly couldn’t have said it better myself.

I understand where you’re coming from OP, being a fan of a franchise and pouring hours into it does develop a sense of ownership. However you need to he weary of overidentification and a sense of entitlement. We aren’t entitled to know every reason behind every decision or to know every detail of what goes on behind 343’s doors.

A short list of their future priorities for the game people are funding wouldn’t be an unreasonable ask. Generally called a road map. Other games have highly detailed ones, but that isn’t necessary.

Especially since they said Coop and Forge are coming in some months, they aren’t averse to providing that information, so if they could give us a short list of priorities, then people could be pointed to said list when repeat topics are posted and told “yes, they’re aware of this one and it’s currently being worked on or will be worked on soon.”

None of that matters when the systems in place are to sucker people into choosing either to waste their time or buy into swaps and skips, or having so very little to unlock that you have no choice but to wish and want for shop items. Getting sick or a family member dying doesn’t put you on a path to greedy practices. These are calculated, predatory actions that were made with no other purpose than to hurt the player experience to urge them to spend money.

When they ask us to open our wallets we are in fact entitled to know why they screwed up, and what their plans are going forward. They have the right to their person privacy, but on a development and business level we are entitled to answers.

‘treat people the way you want to be treated’
you want us to treat you kindly, 343? then treat us, your player base, kindly back

We are the sole reason they exist…

You’re right. We spent years anticipating this title. They can at least give us a road map. Something to let us know that specific issues will be fixed, that planned updates are coming. They want to take a break but there’s still so much to do. Halo Infinite feels incomplete. So empty that I don’t think campaign can save it. We need more than “we hear you. Maybe we might fix it sometime probably.”

at the end of they day he’s not wrong though, they literally do not owe you anything

Yeah was gonna say this, MS has really only been making great game decisions, it’s moreso the studios and direct investors in said studios that force things, and Bonnie Ross is right at that forefront.

You didn’t need the game pass subscription for the multiplayer… donkey boy.

I couldn’t download it without it on my xbox.

God. How much of a child can you be? No one owes you anything. Touch some grass for god sakes.

not to mention sketch admitting that all the cosmetic armor was designed years ago with previous games and the next 6+years of “content” will be drip fed for thousands of times markup just reselling what they didnt need to make for this game.
i dont believe anyone working on the game is capable of making any reasonable decisions if they can ship a halo game with NO SLAYER and no way to implement it. they made the infrastructure for the game and it just “doesnt allow” for the changes to be made. non existent forethought. no planning. calling infinite the worst halo game would require it to be a game and not a storefront first.
halo 4 and 5 seemed like honest attempts at bat for 343. but with infinite they turned around and just threw the bat at the crowd. my investment in the series, both personal and financial, over the years has kind of been crazy. and after the disgusting showing of the game and the devs behavior in response to people’s reactions i just cannot make myself care anymore. I don’t have any faith in them as a company to handle the IP. took the campaign off my steam Wishlist. just chalking halo up to another series the developers self-destructed like mass effect.

Dude, people have spent hundreds, in some cases thousand if dollars on this franchise. Invested thousands of hours. They certainly do owe us something. Without us, they wouldn’t be where they are. The people who have spent so much time and money on this franchise are owed some modecrum of respect. If YOU don’t feel like this applies to you, then YOU can go touch some grass, or whatever.

I definitely see this mindset more nowadays than when I was younger where people are becoming more comfortable with being okay that they can treat people like garbage because it’s not like they’re ever gonna meet them again(thanks, internet). I feel like it’s how road rage works. It’s just some 2 ton vehicle that isn’t you and you won’t see them again.

Transactions may be temporary, but the relationship shouldn’t be underestimated. I’ve had customers when I was in sales literally tell me that although they were at the other store and could’ve gotten an item there, because what I told them was true(which was that it’s the same price as we had it) they actually came back and bought it from me. That’s how much the relationship mattered for the sale.

It’s ok. Just don’t buy a thing in that store. I won’t for sure. I may be getting the campaign, debating if I should wait for sale but feeding the battle pass nonsense? Yeah no. Nah, I’m good.
