They destroyed FFA!!!

Why? Just why?
It is my favorite game mode and I’m basically playing Halo because I love free for all. Of course it had it’s shortcomings, but having 8 players mayhem was fun and that’s the most important in a video game.

Now, excluding 2 of those players, having rage quiters every other match and you’re left with a boring mode. Maps are too big for only 6 players FFA! Add the campers, the quiters and the fun is gone. The gameplay dynamic completely changed and not for the best!! I’m making circles around the map like an idiot trying to find opponents.

Who asked for this? Is there any chance they’ll come back to the original formula of 8 players?

Gears of War Judgment has FFA and it has 25 players I think. 8 is no where near enough for that game type. Given the maps, it should be least 10 I think maybe even 12. Although, I’m sure some will disagree.

Make a social ffa 8 player and raneed should be 6. Honestly the spawns suck for 8 players

Yeah, I forgot everything in this game has to be super “competitive” and for the “pro” players. A social playlist could be a solution I guess but I hate it right now…

I’m glad it has changed. They listened to the feedback that was given. The maps and spawn system does not provide the best experience with 8 people in FFA. The 6 person FFA allows more 1v1 fights, instead of constant spawn killing.

I expected to read the exact opposite. Imo the maps are too small and 8 players are too much which leads to bad spawns.

I told you guys. I’ve been playing FFA for fifteen years and 8 is the sweet spot. Six is too low. I’m not even bothering with the playlist.

8 players would work if the spawns weren’t horrible. The maps seem too small for it when you count sprint into it. 8 players worked great for previous halos but it just seems to chaotic now

Judgement had 10 players in FFA if I’m not mistaken.

I was hoping taking it down to 6 would help us get games here in Australia but the playlist is still dead.

I agree with it being boring at 6 players… as to GoW Judgement, idk there was FFA with that…awesome… now have to get it again or the remaster GoW one… oops ot
