They could of not lied to us more about co-op <3

This from 2018… so they must of had it running to even know they was going to release it
I see no honest reason for them not to release it, its simple release or give us information to why its not being released
Not just leave us in the dark with a delay [

There is no conspiracy here.

The game play was changed (more open-world)… which broke the co-op spawn system… and they couldn’t fix it before they entered the pre-release polishing phase.

-Yoink- happens. We just need to buckle up and be patient…

That was when Chris Lee was at lead, not Joseph

Unfortunately that isn’t quite how game design works. The quote says it will have this feature, not it will be immediately available. I know that isn’t a great thing to hear, but issues do occur and they wouldn’t have known back then some of the obstacles that have arisen over the course of the development.

It’s not ready, what more reason can anyone ask for.

While it may be comforting to know why, they don’t need to tell us and might be more of a high level decision they are unable to even communicate. They’re working on it, it isn’t ready and no amount of critical topics and posts about it will be able to change that unfortunately. Seems this discussion is repeated in different topics constantly every day.

This co-op is the most ambitious of all the Halo games, we don’t know how it is intended to work in an open world game, with in-game cutscenes, crossplay over Xbox One launch model, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and various different PC hardware. Not to mention how it will handle ray tracing, day/night cycles etc etc. How co-op spawns and progress will be recorded. There’s a lot to consider, the design and work required for this co-op has likely been far greater than any other Halo before it.

That picture also only states that they want to/will have splitscreen co-op in the game. They made no guarantee that it would be there at launch and even then the game will actually only support 2 player splitscreen in campaign when that feature becomes available. 4 player splitscreen will only work in multiplayer and that should be available at launch as far as we know right now.

you know the deifnition of lying requires intent right? As others have stated, this was most likely the plan. However, as the game progressed, its designs conflicted with the systems they had and decided that its ok to be post launch.

At some point you guys are just gonna have to accept that this is the reality. It sucks. -Yoink- happens. It should’ve been there at launch. But unfortunately things didn’t work out due development hurdles and management issues.

All you could do now at the moment is hope that the feature returns bigger and better.
