Have you noticed the steep drop in the online population since the game’s release?
343i has been taking 2 steps forward and 3 steps back during Halo 4’s development and after Halo 4’s launch. I knew that they were going to cause trouble as soon as they announced that they weren’t going to release a public beta for Halo 4. Unlike Bungie, they are nothing but Microsoft’s puppets who are told how to make their games.
I quit after reading those words, so it’s him who negatively impacted the population. Halo 4s rapid population decline should be blamed on this one person.
> I quit after reading those words, so it’s him who negatively impacted the population. Halo 4s rapid population decline should be blamed on this one person.
People are quitting Halo 4 because of this guy? Right, because the entire population of Halo 4 players visit this site.
People are quitting because they’re either mad, bored, or was just on the hype bandwagon. Nothing to do with the anger on these forums.
If its that big of a deal why dont you go straight to the studio and address them. Actully no dont do that some of the people who trad it in are a bit nuts. Anywho i still like the game and it is a good game its not necesarilly like previous Halos 1-3 more like reach but in the end its still a Halo game. Now you can leave if you want I will stay here and try to support 343 while giving my opinions on what should be done to fix Halo 4’s formula to bring it back to its roots while keeping the things that made Halo 4, HALO 4 but said things will be heavily tweaked and changed to fit the roots of Halo. So please leave your Halo disk on the way out we probably will not miss you. Bye Bye

This is the most over-used retort in threads like these when in fact you people don’t even understand the mechanics.
Declining Population -> Less Players in Playlists -> Game forced to match you with foreigners/higher skilled players -> lag -> you coming here to complain/no longer enjoying your experience.
Get it?
You WILL miss those that leave.

More like 2 steps forward on step back. we get the playlist’s we want implemented and the new maps are the types that we ask for but the first TU didnt have a DMR nerf which if it did but traded for the Boltshot would only have more people -Yoinking!- about the Boltshot not being nerfed. All in all a Beta would of helped with balancing and stuff and bugs or glitches and maybe a few hacks/ mods but thats about it. We would still be arguing over playlists and also TU stuff we would still have people quitting over reasons like running and spawning or freaking AA’s being in the game or even having to look at them. We would be farther progressed but it would be the same old thing. 343 just cant win even if they game was completely identicle to Halo 2-3 CE idk what ever version youd want but i could still see people raging on the forums about no innovation or some -Yoink-. Anywho 343 cant win even when they do right so yea cya if your quitting.
Halo has a pretty high population, considering how many other games are out there trying to pull people away. It may be less than Halo: Reach or Halo 3, but honestly that’s just a trend that’s likely to continue as video game development expands.
As for 343’s efforts, well… this is their first game, and they’re learning from it.
They’re trying and learning from their mistakes. Team Throwdown is pretty fun for me. The Campaign was great, it’s the MP that wasn’t the best. But I have confidence that they will continue to improve.

THANK YOU!!!
I agree. This game is a blast to play (saying this before the Title Update that very well may ruin the game).
Most of the posters on this forum do not understand that a “shelf life” of a game now is about 2 or 3 months tops. There is just so many other good games to play.
Years ago there may been a great game every 6 months to a year that had a loyal following. And those games were staggered across different genres. Like Forza was every 2 years and people played heck out of it. But now there are fair amount of racing games out. And that is just the racing genre.
Look at first person shooter or action game genre. Halo, COD, Borderlands, Battlefield, Skyrim, Assassins Creed, Far Cry, Dead Space, etc.
Personally I think Halo 4 is doing just fine with all that is out there.
People coming to the forums to cry and yoink because they are getting owned for not playing smart is not only annoying but incredibly juvenile.

You must be a COD fan or never played Halo before. Halo used to be competitive nad fun now is COD based game. Full of camping with the big maps and camo and -Yoink- like that. That´s why people come here to complain, because they hate the game because 343i reshape Halo gamestyle and come here in hope 343i read and try to understand that they only did bad things to this franchise and stop focus their ideias in COD and more in previous Hao games who used to have millions games almost every night.

Nope. I planned on playing Halo 4 for at-least 2 years, the game just isn’t enjoyable for me at the moment. I really want to enjoy it.
I played Battlefield 3 for over 600 hours.

So you choose to pull a line of MY text from another topic and make a thread out of it? Lame, very LAME. But then, you QUITTERS were always LAME form the very start!
So what made you run out and pay between $59 - $115.00 for Halo 4, then QUIT?
Any excuse you could mention is pure HOGWASH. You’re a whiner, looking for someone to put a -Yoink!- in your mouth and dry your wee little eyes.

Your name was left out of the quote because the topic is not personal.
But what you said has been a fanboy staple for quite some time.
Truth is, just look at the population declining… most people ARE quitting without coming here to announce it to the world. Thousands are quitting by the month.
Your statement (which isn’t even just yours… I’ve seen it before in almost every ‘f this game’ thread) was foolish.
