RTX Wrap Up

The E3 2012 Wrap Up

I think soon to come whenever Waypoint decides to do it, the SDCC Wrap Up.

Every video I watch from Waypoint so far regarding the Wrap Ups. Everyone says it still feels like Halo. These forums have become the minority. Reason why I say that is compared to those videos where everyone said given postitive remarks about the game and mind you, some MLG Pros did not agree with Halo 4’s mutliplayer and some did. It’s come to be a fact that if you haven’t played Halo 4, you cannot get the full experience of it. People here on the Waypoint forums have played it and given positive remarks. People have different opinions on here about Halo 4 being Reach 2.0 but everyone who has played it says it still feels like Halo. People have been giving postitve feedback doesn’t label them as blind 343 followers. I still think its going to be a good title just from watching and I don’t agree on some things, but I can’t make my final judgement without first having gotten a hands on experience. Matter of fact, I don’t think anyone can.

It’s great it’s getting positive feedback, but I don’t need to be told if the game is going to be good or not. That decision is mine and mine alone.

So far-I’m pleased with what I’ve seen when it comes to gameplay. I like the sounds effects as well, including the music composed by Neil Davidge.

And there are some things which beg to be questioned in my book but nevertheless, I’m pleased with what I’ve seen. However, my opinion may change when I get the actual game for myself…who knows…

So…I agree with your final statement…I can’t be certain until I’ve tried it for myself…which I haven’t :frowning:

I haven’t played Halo 4 and I assure you that from what I’ve seen my expectations are high

> So…I agree with your final statement…I can’t be certain until I’ve tried it for myself…which I haven’t :frowning:

Why can more people on these forums be like you? lol

I don’t know man, I think it boils down to your expectations of the game and opinion to be honest.

Hey, mind if I add you on my friends list?

OT: Yeah I guess. Which it’s about half and half with these forums. I know some people on here have high hopes and some are just about level with their hopes. I honestly was expecting equipment to return, but I’m faithful of 343 to make these maps work with the AA’s. I don’t think Reachs maps were made to work with AA’s like Halo 4’s maps are. They kinda just threw em in there.

If anyone badmouthed the game, you sure as heck wouldn’t hear or see them in a video released by the developer.

> If anyone badmouthed the game, you sure as heck wouldn’t hear or see them in a video released by the developer.

Well that’s pretty obvious as people don’t tend to do that…there’s a similar story concerning the BTS for Alien 3

The director was so frustrated in making it he said some things on the BTS about the frustration of making the movie and how painfull it was. It got cut from the edit which came with the DVD

So…this is kinda the same situation

Well I have added people from Waypoint on here before…

…If you want to, I don’t have a problem with it. It’s just that I don’t generally go on my Xbox much these days as it’s on it’s final breaths. I’ve been meaning to get a replacement.

I’ll probably be on more once I get a new one and even more when Halo 4 comes out. That doesn’t mean I wont be on there full stop.

Wait: You do mean the friends list on XBL right? Or do you mean the buddy’s list on here?

So? Read any post made by community members who have played it. They all say that Halo 4 feels great.

How the game feels is irrelevant. The only thing that should matter is how it plays, and the gameplay looks like awful Reach on steroids.

It’s like saying that Halo 4 will be a fantastic game just because it won some dopey awards at E3.

It plays well, as confirmed by EVERY community member who played it.

A lot of people who have played the game also say it plays how Reach should have been, so that must at least be one step forward from Reach right?

If you read the OP, everyone who has played it at E3, RTX, and SDCC says it still feels like Halo, it still plays like Halo.

If it played like Halo, everyone would spawn on an equal footing. There wouldn’t be loadouts, armor abilities and frustratingly long kill times. It looks to me like the game plays like Reach, and Reach neither felt or played like Halo.

Well Reach played like Halo to me…but that’s really a matter of opinion where this is going isn’t it?

The forums have always been a minority. Even back on bungie.net. Its just a hard concept for some to grasp i guess.

But yes i agree it feels like halo i got to play 4 games. There are still some ideas/things in the game that i don’t agree with but i still had a blast playing and im sure many others who have doubts will too.

Equal footing doesn’t always necesarrily mean that everyone starts off with the same weapons and equipment. In Halo 4, everyone spawns differantly, yes, but everyone has a balanced and equal chance of gaining the upper hand, just like any other Halo game. Also, just like any, and arguably every other Halo game, you can pick it up and know how to play pretty well for themselves, but it still takes time and dedication to master.

“OH GEE GOLLY, H4 IS SUPER SWELL GUYS! I AM SUPER EXCITED BY EVERY SINGLE FEATURE, EVERY SINGLE PIXEL IS FLAWLESS!”

I swear some of you expect everyone to be blind fanboys like that.
