- Joseph for obvious reasons given his history with Bungie as well as his leadership.
- Paul Crocker because he was a writer for Batman Arkham Asylum and City.
- Dan Chosich because he gets the theme and concept of Halo. The wonder, hope, and mystery. The sense of being lost and self-discovery.
Not to mention we’re paying full $60 for the campaign alone. The entire game is supposedly single shot which means we’ll be spending so much time with Master Chief. We could witness extreme character development. My expectations are in check but damn am I really looking forward to the story.
I’m hopeful because it actually feels like 343 is self aware now of the problems that went on during Halo 4 and 5’s development and are actually seeking to try and correct those problems. The first gameplay trailer despite the lack luster visuals legit made me excited for a Halo game for the first time in years because it actually felt like something I was familiar with. Gave me a 3+Reach feeling just with clamber and slide included which I’m down for. I’m also very happy with the compromise that 343 has made with the art style direction their going with that’s a mix of old and new.
I am hopeful but let’s remember their track record.
After Halo 4 they said ‘we have learnt a lot and will improve’.

Totally agree. Those guys also seem like the type who would not have signed on had they not been given enough liberty to be themselves, something that helped them become so well-respected in the first place. Looking at everything up until now, it’s gonna be pretty embarrassing if Infinite doesn’t turn out to be a masterpiece like everything up to and including Reach. 343i has set things up quite well for the game to be great.
Yeah I’m a lot more confident in this game’s campaign than I was for H5. Unfortunately Joseph only came on board very late in development, basically when the campaign was all “finished” so I’m not expecting him to make any big changes to the game. Would be cool if he stayed with 343i and continued making Halo games after Infinite drops but I doubt it.
