I get that handling dedicated servers is tough, I do, truly, but with a AAA title that is as established as Halo, these servers are to put it nicely, pathetic, they can’t stay up for more than a few hours before people all over start getting disconnected for no reason. I ran an experiment with my friends, we hung out online, and ALL 4 of us got disconnected simultaneously, however not from live just from Halo. My question is, why is this still happening? I get 343 wants/needs to work on their next games, but this should be a priority.

I feel ya, myself and friends have recieved bans for ‘quiting the game’ but we get disconnected from servers
Are you using wired connection or on Wi-Fi
I very rarely get disconnected. Make sure you are wired. The game does not work well on wifi. Now, that said I agree the servers are pathetic, I was disconnected once today and experienced serious lag all day today. Hopefully the update next week will help remediate these issues.

It’s a fix update, not an update, update. It is mentioned in last weeks community update.
I only disconnect when I am on WiFi. But today I did have the game freeze for a few second a couple of times.
343 really needs a better system like Titanfall 2 or Battlefield’s server setups.

That’s not what I heard. I heard the next update is by 343i’s definition “Huge” besides this isn’t minecraft, 343i don’t do bug fix updates, they just do content updates that have a LOT of content and a few bug fixes.

Yes they do. Titanfall 2 is amazing when it comes to servers. I have a 20ms ping to London from here in Scotland and it’s very good in game. 343 could learn a lot from Respawn.
I don’t think halo is still a triple A title it’s more like on the B list now
Are the servers broke In the past few minutes cause I can’t get through one game with out being disconnected and now I can’t even start up a game. It keeps locking me out of the menus every time it disconnects and by locked out I mean it won’t let me navigate them.
I’ve personally never experienced problems with the servers, apart from when they are down altogether. sucks to hear tho.

I think it has more to deo with MS wanting 343 to use their servers and nothing more. Not much 343 can do if MS is saying you must use these servers.

I have and I have played recently- TitanFall(not TF2), CODBO3, Gears 4 and Plants vs zombies 2 and BF1. None of the five have regular server issues like H5 now has on a regular basis. I can expect at least half of my matches to have lag enough to effect the match. I can expect for the server to crash as its loading the match at least 2 out of 10 games. It started happening back in April and has only gotten worse. I live on the East coast of the USA. Halo has issues, the others do not.
last night On a arena game we all got disconnected. went to wzff and it was so laggy, A lot more then the normal lag. lol
I got a lost connection 3 times in a row tonight…
Left the game completely after that. Better luck next time!
