Just ignore his comments, mate. It’s like talking to a brick wall; it has been that way for years, no matter what anybody says. You’d get a more decent conversation talking to your family pet.
“Customize” all you want…whatever you do you’ll be on the same footing as a player that just started
Lol who’s grandpa is this and who taught him how to troll so good
Dude wtf are you even saying… you can use this mentality with literally anything if you dumb it down to the lowest degree. “Why even play different video games. None have an effect on real life” you’re just relying on customization as a crutch to back up your awful take.
Who even are you? Like did you stumble into this forum from 2001 where u could choose 5 colors and just shoot at eachother? We have been customizing our sparatans for decades now homie. Video games have entire groups and teams dedicated just to customization, you might not wanna hear this and might be scared of this… but concept art from games are early forms of customization.
I’ve said this on many forums so far, I would rather buy the multiplayer ONCE instead of paying 100’s for the next 10 years. And this is why I have stepped away from the multiplayer because the advertisements for armour are just frustrating to look at. Anytime I feel like playing multiplayer its back to the MCC for me.
After reading your whole reply to Paw, this is the lamest thing I have read yet. You tried to use this as an excuse for them throwing things that were normally earnable in-game in the shop. Here is what you actually said. (Some are too lazy to play the game so make it so they can just buy it.)
You are part of the problem with what’s wrong with gaming these days.
The grind is something i343 has full power over.
And extremely little can be grinded for.
What’s the issue even?
I thought working towards something puts more emotional value to what you’re working for.
Purchasing it removes that part of the gaming experience.
We’ve come a long way to encourage “pay to not play”.
This is why modders are so much better than super large teams, because a team of 3-10 can accomplish a lot because they all have the same goal in mind. Often times they do better than AAA developers.
I mean did 343i state that they were looking into the store and bundles live on stream? It’s obvious that we are being heard, with both our wallets and our voices. They have stated that customization is important to the game which nukes the “they’re just cosmetics” argument from orbit.
But the main argument is that we need to be able to EARN armor. In all previous Halo titles with any armor parts, we were able to earn them by doing awesome things. Kill someone in Free For All with a Mongoose? Congratulations! Here’s the Scout Helmet! It was a way to show other players “I am awesome and I am wearing the proof”. There is absolutely zero skill in completing the battle pass, it just takes a ridiculous amount of time. Not to mention how overpriced the store is at the moment.
I know that someone would bring up the “It’s free to play so how are they supposed to make money?” argument. Luckily I have an answer. The campaign is still $60 first of all and I guarantee that they have already made their money back with sales. The store on the other hand needs an overhaul. Reduce prices and allow players to purchase armor and accessories on the individual level. By lowering the amount players need to pay to get cool NEW armor, the more would be willing to pay. Old armors such as EOD, CQC, and Scout (I believe under the name “Celox” in the code) should be able to be EARNED. Now new Halo players, put down the torches and pitchforks and let me explain why this would help with profit. It would help entice more old Halo veterans to play more to earn their old classic looks from years ago while getting newer players hooked onto the gameplay and giving them a goal. While they play, they would see completely new and awesome looking armor, effects, keychains, etc in the shop and many would say “I like this little decal, and I have $2.00 to burn”. Lowering the price makes the product more viable for impulse buying. Also, I may have forgotten to mention that a removal of the rotating stock would be needed. Of course they could try selling a rotating stock of bundles at more reasonable prices but it shouldn’t be the entirety of the store.
Guys please stop giving 343 money. All you’re doing is telling them that it’s ok to do what they’re doing. Every game is full of people that paid for skins. 343 and M $ must be rolling in it right now.
Laughing their balls off at all the people that talk about their horrible monetisation and then give them money anyway.
Who are you talking to, guy?
On these boards everyone is already in a camp, people who recognize the shop is awful, and the 343 flag wavers that buy it out of devotion to 343/spite to the rest of us. There’s no one left to persuade.
There are still many who are on the fence. Also we need to keep the conversation going to make sure that 343i doesn’t forget about it as soon as they get back into the office.
What is left if not hope?
People can be upset by things that are happening to other people, not just what affects them.
He kinda does have a point tho. The sales numbers can definitely be a driver for the prices being that high. But yes. He’s adding nothing to the convo
Go back to MCC until they make this less awful sometime in late 2022 or 2023?
In all honesty, there’s no way any of this gets better unless A) the player count keeps dropping or B) people stop buying.
Since B isn’t working out, quitting is the only thing you can do.
Well then 343 are a genius and get over on us because hardcore fans will play no matter what. Even me. I hate the game and I still find myself playing because I’ve been playing Halo for over 15 years and I can’t just put Halo down when all my friends play it too.
It’s a rock and a hard place because our game time will contribute to other players that buy stuff and when they buy stuff it helps the system 343 created.
I recognize that’s tough, I’ve caught a lot of crap for refusing to play, but most of my friends are coming around to the fact that Infinite is dog water.
Seriously, just play MCC, imagine how ticked 343 managment would be if they see their player numbers bleeding from the cash cow, and flowing back to the game with no MTX
I will never be upset at the stupidity of other people.
It is sad though.
Considering that Infinite probably already lost like 50% of its playerbase I imagine they’ll be doing a lot of things come January. 343i eventually do the right thing.

I’m so confused why my posts are flagged, one telling someone to not extinguish others wanting a better pricing system and telling the person to be more helpful and provide more to the conversation, was flagged. So from what I’ve seen, ANYONE can get salty for being called out, and just report you and it will instantly flag you and take your stuff down. The ability for us to talk on waypoint is being muted for no reason
