These Microtransactions are ridiculous...

Why must 343i continue to squeeze money from us? I mean we already paid $60 for their “great” game and we even pay for an Xbox membership! Why must such a wonderful franchise fall victim to this terrible scam… What are your thoughts ?

You DON’T have to buy it with real money. It’s just an option, but really you would be missing out on the fun and work on obtaining all the reqs. The journey for me to unlock everything by grinding was probably fun and worth it. I hardly had to buy a req with real money.

I mean you don’t have to buy anything with microtransactions if you don’t want to. I finished all my gold packs without paying anything extra.

My thoughts are no one is forcing you to buy them. Plenty of people have unlocked everything without spending a dime. Additionally, I think you’re about 10 months late on this complaint.

My thought is why can’t some seem to understand that buying these packs are 100% OPTIONAL. You aren’t forced to buy them nor does not buying them effect game play. If some people want to pay to skip the grind then that is their choice.

Gotta pay for the loads of quality maps and gamemodes 343i has provided for us post launch /s

Just TRY to explain to me how Overgrowth, Riptide, and Molten are “quality” maps. Then BTB is 100% forge maps. 10/10 effort m8-Yoink!- is a big cash cow. Your money is its’ grass

Simple, they are an OPTION! i have a few friends with plenty of money to spare but not as much time to play as they like, so they get the gold pack from time to time just to get more reqs.

besides were not paying to all the dlc, so whys it matter? I honestly prefer this idea. i get the free stuff, and IF I like it(in this case i love it) ill support them further with buying micro transactions. thats what i do in general now with games that do that.

Because I don’t think the point has been made enough they are optional you don’t have to buy them and you’re only being milked if you offer your teat for squeezing.

It’s not just Microsoft. A majority of other gaming companies are introducing microtransactions. It’s another way to get money. That’s just how it is. I for one didnt buy the game till it was half off, which was a couple of months ago. I haven’t spend $1 for in game currency and don’t plan too. Microtransactions is just an option from farming to “almost” getting what you want.

The concept is still wrong. Basically, the winner will be the one with the deeper pockets, I mean better REQ’s.

You don’t have to pay for these calm down

That is what those without skill claim. Skill trumps reqs any day. Also don’t want reqs to effect the game play in the arena.

I understand that there is an option to buy them but half the time you are being shredded in war zone by people who literally spent hundreds of dollars to buy these Packs and have a huge weapon advantage against, In fact the real reason to this post is why must halo fall victim to this scam? I’m really speaking out for the people who believe you must purchase these to be better at the game! And in reality that is 343i goal is to brainwash players into thinking that spending money is the way to go.

When gamers use the terms “skill” to make an argument, I laugh every time. How hard is it to get used to the aim sensitivity of the aim and click mechanic? 1 or 2 game, but it is not that hard to get use to. Still, how quickly you adjust varies from person to person. REQs on the other hand are purposely made to disrupt this game, just like any other pay to win games, and this is why I refuse to buy it.

How do you know they got their reqs with money?

Haha clearly you haven’t H5 because the aiming actually takes quite a bit to get used to. Also skill and tactics trump reqs any day… there is nothing that can’t be countered.

This is Halo. Not an IOS game.

Does that mean the “free to play” players will always be losers?

If so, then I probably shouldn’t have a 50% winrate on Warzone, seeing as I have all these REQs without spending a cent.

Because those people who “believe you must purchase these to be better at the game!” are people who are making excuses instead of actually getting better at the game.

Most of the Uncommon and Rare weapons trump anything anyone has to offer.

You aren’t being shredded by people who spent hundreds of dollars on REQs. You’re being shredded by people who may as well just be better than you.

And how do you know those “pay to win” players aren’t on your team? Wouldn’t you be winning then?

Personally, I think if they’re going to offer them for money, at least stop making them cost ridiculous amounts of req points. A gold pack is either 10,000 points or $3. If the Prophets’ Bane pack costs just over three times the amount of real money, then it shouldn’t cost ten times as many req points.

Not in warzone
