I think I over reacted. Im going to at least try it. Who knows, maybe it will be fun. But I would like to apologize for hating on the game, after all I have never played it. But instant respawns and Elite armor? Yoink that Yoink.
Me too. At first some of the ideas seemed strange to me, but now with clarification from 343, I’m starting to think that they could work.
The “random” weapon spawns would still encourage map knowledge and control, but also bring it up to the next level. A good team could learn the possible locations, and either predict where the next one will drop, or position themselves around the map to grab it quickly when it drops.
Instant respawn is only for some gametypes, like Regicide, so I’m down with that.
Forerunner Vision doesn’t really allow one to see players through walls, so I’ll wait for more info on that.
What else, hmmm, oh yeah. Spartan Ops would probably involve Firefight-esque missions, so Firefight won’t be completely gone.
Armour Abilities and custom loadouts would be fun to use in a few social playlists, and also custom games (if they can be changed in customs, like Reach).
Sprint will add a new level of movement to the game, and will allow for players to quickly move through the map to ambush others, or escape if they’re lucky.
Now, I’m just waiting for further clarification on some things, and also Forge info.

To be honest, after playing Reach and deciding to pop in the old trilogy. It felt kinda weird not being able to sprint, even if the base movement speed was higher.
