These grenades are beyond insane

Am I the only one who feels like the Frag Grenades are insane? Let’s look:

-They fly extremely far
-They fly through the air at an insane speed
-The explosion radius is giagantic
-The time-to-explode is short

I feel if I’m on any room in bazaar or recharge and someone lobs a grenade, I have nowhere to run in that time, it’s crazy, like I have to take the damage. They need to be overhauled. In Halo 3 they felt way more heavy.

They definitely need their range and speed reduced. As of now, it feels like grenades travel faster than alot of plasma weapons and they can be thrown from so far away you don’t need to even have clear line of sight to the enemy, just spam the nades as soon as you spawn

Pretty much, because of what I listed it just encourages everyone to spam, and we all LOVE grenade spam!

Yea the frag nade still feels weird to me. Sometimes it’s like a nuke, others I’m over here wondering how the enemy isn’t dead. Think it’s bugged honestly.

throw speed, range of throw, and projectile travel speed need to be slower. It is currently to easy to grenade spam around corners or through distant doorways.

I don’t like the way they work fundamentally. there is an impact zone that does the same damage as melee then an inch outside of that zone, no damage. I would like for there to be 3-5 damage zones from the center of impact ranging from shield breaking to about 5% health. increase the overall blast radius but keep the high damage zones pretty tight.

I agree with this. Also personally I find them hard to find once they’ve been thrown too, so I never know what direction to run and avoid them.

I agree with that as well, they arrive at your feet within 0.5 of a second

I love it. For the first time (without having Mint Blitz’s level of skill) do grenades feel useful. They don’t bounce right back at you when bouncing them off a doorway as much they do in H3 and Reach. And it doesn’t feel like it’s down to luck or trick throws anymore.

Grenades for me are absolutely a mystery. Yes they fly far and bounce forever and have the hugest radius known to Spartans and they even take forever to actually explode. Even the most basic bots have time to look at the grenade next to them, check their phones and causally walk away before they explode usually resulting in no to limited damage.

For me I do tend to over throw my grenades but when I do actually get a grenade to be either at the feet of a Spartan or Bot it doesn’t seem to do any damage or result in a kill unless they’re literally down to that most minimal of health. For me if a grenade seems to just look at me regardless of how far it lands or perfect health I’m always a one hit kill for the other player. It’s so frustrating, and and I swear the grenades thrown at me track me with extreme personal prejudice haha.

The spiker grenades seem to take forever to detonate as well. Long enough for a Spartan to approach it and easily pass it before it even goes off.

I don’t really understand it and even other players who are playing with me constantly go… how did that grenade you threw, not kill him ?

The new frag grenades are really bouncy too, it makes it hard to land a close range grenade, but makes it much easier to spam around a corner or through a doorway. Something needs to be changed on them for sure.

really? I find they’re way more dodgeable than the mini nukes we got in halo 2 and 3.
