These Forums are...annoying.

Before you go ahead and post something like “Hurr durr, leave then l00sur” or “If you don’t like it, don’t come here”

I’ve been here for a while. Mostly lurking and I’ve noticed a pattern that isn’t healthy for a public forum. I posted this thread 25 minutes ago in hopes to get a little discussion going, but alas. Nothing.

Then I look through the front page threads on the Halo 4 section and it’s clear that most of the users are only interested in one thing.

Negativity.

If my thread is called “Halo 4 sucks” or “343 sucks” then it’ll get bombarded with replies from people both agreeing and disagreeing.

I don’t mean to say people can’t have an opinion or anything, I’m very interested in why people feel the game isn’t up to scratch or how well 343 have done. I love reading/hearing other people’s opinions. But would a diamond in the rough be too much to ask? It’s become blatantly clear that no matter what people post on these forums unless it has a negative vibe to it, it gets no response.

Why do these people feed on such negativity? :frowning:

Your thread wasn’t exactly attention-grabbing in the first place. People respond to whatever thread is most interesting at first glance.

Not to mention I have no idea why the machinima-friendly features were removed from Halo 4. It’s just that kind of baffling, inexplicable decision-making on 343’s part that prompts so many people to make negative threads.

Well, in regards to the topic you posted, Machinima isn’t exactly the hottest thing anymore.

But yes, these forums are filled with what you call “negativity” and what others call complaining.

Oh I’m aware it isn’t exactly a hot topic, but it’s got to be more interesting than looking at another Specialization/Map Pack/Game Sucks thread.

Sometimes threads do get buried unfortunately in forums with high traffic. It’s not all doom and gloom though. You can hang out in General Discussion where things are a little slower paced than in Halo 4

I’m going to lock this thread for now.
