- The BR has became the god-send weapon I used to detest
- Spawns need to be fixed in maps like Complex (spawning in the open isn’t fun)
Oh, and may god have mercy on your soul if you experience lag.
I don’t like how every primary load-out weapon is so strong now.
I would have preferred it if the DMR was nerfed, the Carbine buffed, the BR made into a 4-shot but the RoF nerfed to give it a similar kill-time to pre-TU BR and reduce Aim Assist and Bullet Magnetism on all weapons.
Some fixes can’t be tweaked via back-end tuning though, so I imagine there are a few more patches to come.

BR is not a God-sended weapon! Actually the Carabine is slightly better if you practice with it. Oh and try to play BTB with a BR and you’ll say bye to your K/D.
By the other hand, nothing can be perfect for everybody. Complaining is easier than designing a full game or a TU. Just try to adapt this new killtimes and you’ll find tons of fun and competitive encounters. Try to play smart.
Just curious: why is it that everyone hates updates when it is related to the BR or the DMR?
My favorite part of the update is the movement speed upgrade- which boosted the power of the Thruster Pack.

Out of curiosity why would you want longer kill times? Now all primaries kill as fast as H2&3 which is a good thing IMO. I agree aim assist needs some reduction.
The game plays far too fast now. Every weapon is far too strong. I forsee the population is going to get even lower now. The DMR’s rate of fire needed to be nerfed and the game would have been fine. They buffed around one OP gun.
It moves too fast?
No.
Surprise, surprise. People complaining about the new update. Didn’t see that coming…
I’ve not played in awhile so I’ve not tried the new weapon tuning. Before weapon tuning all I used is a BR and Carbine and did just fine. If people are complaining the BR is too good now then more power too me I guess, been using that gun and very little of the DMR since this game launched.

Sorry its late, I don’t mind fast kill-times but since there is no descoping and such high aim assist it becomes a lot more difficult to out-shoot someone who gets the first shot. You can’t force them to back down by descoping them, and it’s hard to shake off their aim.
From what I know, you could do that in Halo 2, but you can’t in Halo 4.

I didn’t like the sound of the TU long before I played it, it’s hardly complaining when you had an issue with it in the first place. All primary weapons have now been buffed to roughly match the power of the DMR. A nerf of the DMR and slight tweaks would have been sufficient.
Last week most of my games were evenly matched, it took a while but the true skill was actually starting to even itself out. TU has been implemented. I’ve played all morning and it feels to me that the I’m one step ahead. In other words the skill gap has been increased, exactly what the update was meant to do. The speed is great, the four shot is great and the AR’s are divine. Thank you 343 for making Halo fun again. I’ve had more fun this morning than I have in the past 6 months. Finally a challenging game.
To all those that are not used to a fast pace Halo, as it is the first since 2007. Don’t worry, in a few weeks you’ll be used to it and true skill will negotiate you with players that are at similar level. Let the Vets and skilled have their day and keep on fighting.
I am personally glad they buffed weapons rather than nerfed for the sake of balance.
A rough analogy I can give to nerfing is (And by no means do I mean to offend anyone when I make this comment) like High School Gym Class when there are team games. The teachers will try to balance things by mixing good and ‘bad’ players (bad here translates to ‘cell-phone checking girls who rely on everyone else to get their grade for them’). Sometimes, that isn’t enough, some teams still dominate. So, they get the one special ed student (speaking from personal experience on this one- this is not by an means discrimination), and switch him with the best player of the team that is doing ‘too well’, the team’s performance plummeting because their new team mate being essentially a brick. Sure, the other team who gets the good player will do better, but it doesn’t balance anything- it just tips everything into the favor of those who didn’t have a star player.
Weakening the strong weapons is a lot like this- it feels like a punishment for being too good. Not only does everyone now have a fighting chance with stronger alternative weapons, but you can still use the previous strong weapons without regretting the TU. I appreciate how 343i decided to power up weapons, because they are not punishing the users of the ‘over powered’ weapons, but rewarding the ones who try to persevere.
I didn’t see how the BR was the god-send weapon in my play. In BTB, DMR/LR is still the way to go for primaries. The buffs to the LR are very nice, but the DMR is still plenty playable because the LR is horrid unscoped (though lots of people seem to want to use it that way). For 4v4, the BR now can match the DMR on most maps, and exceeds it a bit on the really small ones, like Adrift. That seems like that’s how it should be to me.
Oh . . . and the movement speed buff is AWESOME. Much appreciated!

The BR has nowhere near the range or accuracy of the DMR and can’t compete at range. In close range, strafe and use cover to your advantage. The carbine is also your friend.

That’s been a problem on complex since Halo 4 released and has nothing to do with the update.
