There's still hope, you know.

Despite the brunt of Halo’s multiplayer team wishing to, well, basically cater to the lesser skilled players and hold their hand, what we have today is a lot better than how H4 was at launch.

Team Throwdown, a REAL FFA playlist that doesn’t punish the winning player, nerfs to OP weapons, great Forge maps in playlists, a Forge Island with A LOT of space, and now the backend ability for weapons to be tuned as needed.

Not to mention the things to come, such as Legendary Slayer which is supposedly the middle ground between Infinity and Throwdown (like H3 settings or something?), the soon to be released CSR, and clan support.

I’m sure Bravo and Quinn will continue to satisfy us niche players, the hardcores, as best as they can. In fact, Bravo is the man who got the train rolling and gave us hardcores some hope. Sure, he isn’t the only man behind these big improvements but he definitely deserves a steak dinner. There’s still work to be done, but I believe this dynamic duo, Bravo and Quinn, can save the day once and for all for us hardcores and pry us from the clutches from people like Kevin Franklin.

It is, perhaps, too sad that the majority of the multiplayer experience will be composed of the infernal bane of our existence, things that cater to lesser skilled players, and perhaps it’s even too late to truly redeem Halo for what it truly is.

But for the few of us hardcores who are always loyal to the Halo brand, we’ll be okay.

nerfs?

boltshot needed no nerf, it just shouldn’t be a loadout weapon

gauss hog? seriously?

People said that during Reach.

I’m tired of this record repeating itself.

Important nerfs none the less. The gauss is no longer an advantage to blue team.

Well, you ARE right that it shouldn’t be a loadout weapon. Likewise, stickies shouldn’t be either. Still, a nerf is better than nothing. These aren’t in Pro/Hardcore loadouts anyways.

The gauss hog nerf is good. It was just simply too easy with how much aim assist there was. They SHOULD have just toned down the aim assist drastically while keeping the range.

Its been repeating since Halo 3 on the forums.

Games typically get better after they’ve been released. Like how Throwdown is so much better than vanilla Halo 4, MLG V7 is hella better than vanilla Reach.

I’m just confident Bravo and Quinn won’t falter in their goals to give hardcore players a home in 343i’s Halo.

They talked about clan support? When did that happen, I’ve heard nothing of it.

Doesn’t stop the fact that a half done game was shipped out, with poor playlists, gameplay, and balance.

I mean it isn’t rocket science that you shouldn’t be able to noob combo, or shot gun pistol someone off of spawn.

This game is going in a poor direction.

You’re right, but what’s done is done. It’s in the past. While we should avoid giving 343i our money so easily in the future, if you’re a player like me who has already bought the game and the season pass; they already have your money. The only thing left to do is play and hope that the few reasonable people at 343i pull through.

Would anyone like to read my thoughts on CSR? https://forums.halowaypoint.com/yaf_postst197534_My-thoughts-on-what-I-see-in-CSR-so-far.aspx

I honestly think that CSR will be the thing that can either save Halo, or make even more people lose faith in Halo. 343 has to get this right if they want their population to not fall below 40k.

No it’s too late. Almost all my friends do not play halo 4 now. I went back and played reach yesterday . It was awesome. I even tolerated armor lock for a while.

I personally consider myself casual, granted I do play Halo far more often then most other games,I hope Legandary Slayer and what not will at least fufill you’re needs.

I’m sorry, I completely forgot we should judge how well a game is doing by observing how many of YOUR friends are playing.

Too bad the competitive Halo players are gone.

If Halo 2 can go from being what was the worst game in the series to being the best in its lifespan than I’m sure Halo 4 can improve.

the only thing that would bring me back and my friends back is visible ranked and social playlists with exp just like it was in halo3

I used to play BTB and invasion with a full party in reach. It was always a lot of fun. Now in every game i always get paired with bad teammates because most of my friends think that halo 4 suck. This game is made for casuals, not for competitive players and 343 even said it.

PS: sorry if i made mistakes, english is not my native language.

No plans for dropping flag or non automatic pick-up, no plans on letting us simply drop the oddball, no replacement of flinch with descope, no plans to revert weapon despawn back to 1 minute, no plans to remove sprint, no in game ranks (or ranks at all for that matter, several months post launch), and a game that at its core was built around BTB, randomness, and a near non-existent skill gap compared to past titles.

Combine this with a dev that lies to the public, fails to sincerely acknowledge their mistakes, and rarely takes community feedback.

Right now, hope has disappeared faster than a twelve year old spawning with active camo on complex with a freshly gifted binary rifle.

i just want to see a perfection medal again
