So you’re saying that if a game is having mass issues its most likely all of the fans… riiight. Even though we don’t have these issues with other games…. Thats so convenient.
You can put words into my mouth if it makes you happy.
Is that not EXACTLY what you’re implying?
I don’t know how to explain this in a way I haven’t just explained it for you to understand my position.
I’m sorry Ken_CTF, But this is a poor thing to say to put it lightly. Just because YOU’RE not experiencing something doesn’t mean it’s not a thing. Heck, 343I even acknowledged it!!! and said it’s an issue for some people. Keyword there, some people! So it definitely is an issue.
It seems to be more of an issue for PC players than console players as well for some reason. I have a friend that plays on PC, or did, And he would get it literally a few times a match probably every third match he said and I believe him. He’s not one to complain about things or make excuses up for his play if he does bad or something.
It’s great that you’re playing experience is good, or at least it sounds like it but other people don’t have it very good. I also know people that basically constantly get connected to servers that gives them a 200 plus ping (When there are way closer servers) practically every time and it’s basically unplayable and their connection is 1 gig fiber so I know it’s not their connection. Are they just making this up?? No. This game definitely has some issues.
Look, I think people that are on the forms here a lot know that you like this game and that’s fine. I like things about it too. I understand you’re tired of constantly defending 343I You do it at every pass for everything, and that’s ok…and yes some people are just going to hate because that’s what people do and it’s unfortunate, but honestly, don’t tell people that it’s not a thing when it clearly is for some and as I said 343 has even acknowledged it.
I keep saying that it’s a thing…
Ive seen multiple people say they experience it every game. That cannot be desync. Surely.
You guys are basically insulting a big chunk of the community by saying it must be something on their end instead of the impossible thought that maybe 343 sucks at coding.
A bunch of people who posted clips have done that tbf. Shown there is a clear issue in people thinking they are experiencing desync when they aren’t. Education needed on the topic.
I dunno what I expected out of this topic but this is an absolute dumpster fire.
I’m out.
That has nothing to do with the word ‘charitable’ in this context. It means you dont give anyone the benefit of the doubt. I’m done replying, cuz the dude showed tons of clips from literally 2 days after update. Thats not thousands of games. Thats like maybe 30. Stop gaslighting dude.
I’m inclined to believe that things are at said scale until otherwise.
Strange things can happen in development. As long as they fix it, it shouldn’t be a problem.
I live on an Island on a relatively remote continent.
I have good quality internet… but I accept that distance to the mainland and then OS is going to grate. I get the occasional rubber band effect (usually early in the game while the server is probably finding it’s rhythm - if that’s a thing). It’s the price you pay for living in such an awesome place!
And when pings are closer to 200ms I get shot around walls etc reasonably regularly and I have to change the way I play.
The mid-S1 update definitely changed some netcode stuff - and I get way crisper games when forced to play at 50-180ms than I used to.
As for desync - I’ve had a handful of nades or rocket splashes that didn’t do as much as they should have (and not related to my death to be server desync). But not a lot. And certainly not every game like some people claim. I can go weeks without noticing anything dodgy.
I do see (hear) players on mikes dying in crossfire and screaming about desync. From my angle it was clearly that they pushed into a stupid position and got caught in the crossfire. My son was the victim of a very poor grenade throw by me once and he still thinks it was desync ![]()
Wasn’t there a couple of things that happened in the first esports LAN party? Suggesting there are a couple of game engine issues. But that was a while ago and hopefully already addressed by recent optimisations.
Bro, you made a post saying desync isn’t a real problem and everyone else except you just sucks at the game and you didn’t think it would go poorly? ![]()
I just played a match of Fiesta where I got killed by a hammer before the enemy swung it.
Like, literally, I saw the animation and heard the sound effect while I was already in the deathcam.
And yes, it 100% was the hammer that killed me, as it was displayed in the kill feed.
That’s not even a ping issue; it might have been ping-related if neither the kill nor the animation & feed had arrived in time on my end, but one did while the other didn’t. That’s server-side, different data is being sent at different times.
Please tell me again how desync isn’t that big of a problem.
Played on an OG XB1, no desync. Genuinely don’t know how some of these people are doing it.
The thing is I don’t remember the same issues in H5 for example. Even when the game was dead in EU and I switched my search priority from good connection to find the games it wasn’t the same as Infinite. Yeah shooting wasn’t that good but no “magic” melee from far away or deaths when you’re behind the wall.
This is one of the worst troll posts I have seen on this forum.
I’ve explained this to you before and I will try one more time. From my experience, the way desync is in this game combined with the “favor the shooter” programming has actually made higher ping games feel better. The people I know suffering from bad desync are all in the U.S. with under 35 ping connections.
When I play higher ping games, my hit registration is actually better and there is less desync. When I shoot enemies, they actually take damage.
The better my connection to the server, the worse the desync is.
Desync is especially bad with close quarters combat. So if you’re a player that likes to play more at range, you aren’t going to notice it as much either.
If you are not experiencing it, count yourself lucky. But don’t try to accuse other people of making stuff up. If you need proof, just Google it. Nobody has time to “prove” it to you because we don’t care if you believe us. But plenty of evidence is out there if you are honestly looking for it.
I just posted a clip on Youtube of a legit desync example I just had earlier in an LSS match.

Nice soundtrack lmao
I experience desync, or whatever the hell it is, in every game now. I quit for months. I uninstalled it. I reinstalled it and loaded up with buddies tonight. Worst gaming experience I’ve had since I left months ago, easily.
Shot around corners, shot through walls, my shots don’t register, their shots register before they fire, my always on screen network monitor shows zero high latency issues when these things happen.
The repulsor doesn’t usually work when I use it. I can crash into people with vehicles and barely hurt them. Etc etc etc etc etc etc.
I have Comcast. I have a Netgear Nighthawk modem. I have an ASUS router. Cat6 cables. RG6 cable in the attic. I’ve had ISP techs out to the house who found no issues. I generally get around 750Mb dl/20Mb ul/15-20ms ping to local servers here in Southwest Florida. Plus, my others games I can still do fairly decent in. I’m no pro, but I never experience issues like these on other games…
I’m playing on a Halo Edition XSX if that matters.
What else would you like?
Oh, and the melee system is a thing of nightmares. Enemy dudes will slap clean air and kill me. I can hit them twice immediately after zapping them with a plasma pistol and still not get a kill.

being back smacked whiles back smacking so making both players die. meaning the game couldn’t tell who was behind who… just saying that’s pretty bad -v-
