I have average internet, an Xbox Series S, and i have no clue at all what people are talking about when they complain about desync, which is wild considering thats all anyone seems to want to talk about in these forums. That or cosmetics that have no impact on gameplay.

Desync is a large impact on gameplay. It just seems strange that some people seem to claim it every game and others not at all.
People who experience desync aren’t showing up and talking about their region, internet, hardware, setup. How are we supposed to understand if the issue is related to any of that?
Noone is helping them solve the desync issue.

This is about the only scenario that actually causes desync for me. I’m in Atlantic Canada, so I’m relatively close to a few large cities in the northeast United States that are probably home to MS servers.
I’m not going to pretend to that people half way across the world have the same experience as I.

Did they say it was a major problem? They said priorities is stuff like outlines, ranked experience, network issues like desync. They didn’t even acknowledge there was an issue just it was a priority for the team to investigate it.
Calling it a major issue would be incorrect based on the information we have right now.

I had my first and what is possibly only moment of desync, just this week.
Oddball, streets. I had the ball, I was out numbered two-to-one. It was raining. Possibly a tropical storm. Anyway, I’m being shot by two assailants outside melee range. There is no way I can survive. I swing as I often do in my death throws only to be surprised when my enemy suddenly flashes before me and falls to a fatal blow from my hail mary oddball melee. And then pops back.
Legitimately, the only account of desync I have is me getting an oddball kill I definitely should not have. Once. Like, Monday.
I am also of the mind that this desync thing is either some sort of mass-delusional-exaggeration because it’s fun to hate on 343, OR there is a hardware distinction. It’s possible that most of not all performance issues for this game are primarily PC problems. The only actual performance issue I experience on my old gen console is long load times.

Making it a priority means its a major issue. Either enter the search terms or shut up about a topic that youre ignorant on. Or continue gaslighting and shooting yourself in the foot i guess.

What do you think investigation is?
Do you experience regular desync? What do you play on? Region? What internet speed do you have?
Okay. So I’m assuming you live in the U.S where this isn’t much of an issue but for other countries this hits hard.
I feel as though you think this is a made up issue and I assure you it’s not. I, along with many other players, have seen the effects on gameplay and it’s up there as far as big issues are concerned.
There’s countless footage on the internet of desync in action so it shouldn’t be hard to confirm such issues.

If a massive majority of people are having the problem to the point that 343 acknowledges it, its beyond just standard hardware issues.

North america East Coast series x 200 Mbps download speed on wireless. Season 1 i had no desync. Since the season 2 update, players have been popping up out of thin air in front of me. No other games will have any sort of lag but Halo does. Is that just my internet? Or maybe is it Halo? Are you maybe wrong about what youre saying and pretending like the evidence that youve seen is wrong just because you yourself dont experience it? Is your Halo experience the defacto Halo experience for everyone everywhere? Or are just gonna ignore all of this and continue gaslighting people?

Noone is being very forthcoming in their experience. 343 know the community complain about it. They are investigating the idea there is a solvable issue. They haven’t even acknowledged it exists large scale as far as I know.

I’ve seen others explain Halo is worse than other games which makes me think Halo handles something more poorly than other games in relation to network stability. But that would lend to the idea it is localised per person based on internet.
So it should be better to match up with other games but it is also being caused due to the person’s setup in a roundabout way. Although the game may be fixed to improve it as such.
In relation to desync is it every game? All game? A minute out of a game every 10 games? What’s the frequency?

Nice of you to assume based on this topic of conversation though. The videos showing 2-3 clips from 1,000s of games isn’t exactly damning evidence.
