seriously what’s the point?
just played 4 games of doubles. Ran into smurfs in half those games. I played against players anywhere from silver to high onyx in that playlist.
Just do away with the ranks if it’s going to be like this. Smurfs have killed any sense of reason to this ranking system. Free multiple accounts have not been good for halo.
Too bad there’s hidden ranks. But you know what I say, join the dark side, make a smurf account. Or just get a rank lower than what you actually are
I think if they would just stop resetting ranks it would help. It’s not like after a year of playing I’m going to suddenly become a pro. If they would leave it alone then people would sort into their proper ranks Wouldn’t help with the smurfs but it would stop the crazy silver vs diamond placement matches.
doubles is the worse to search solo. Plus smurfs is microsofts gault for making it possible for one gold account to share gold with silvers on the same xbox. It would be cool to have an in game mute button for those boosters.
Not in favor of removing ranks, especially if the reasoning is the over exaggeration of smurfs.
They need to stop resetting ranks. I’ve said it since day 1. Rank resets are an epic fail! I know what you were trying to do 343I but it just isn’t a good system. I don’t want to keep playing lopsided placement matches. I’m tired of it. I like rank games but I’m absolutely hating seasons and rank resets in Halo 5 and the rank names too. Go back to military rank names like Halo 3. Were playing Halo, not COD! I can’t play everyday, far from it. When I actually start getting higher in ranks, BOOM! Rank reset strikes again!
I just want to start at the bottom and work my way up like Halo style. If someone gets to max rank, let them reset it, show there highest rank they have gotten before beside there name, in the service record, something. Then give them something for resetting it. If the dumb REQs are in H6, give them a free Gold pack or something. This would stop a lot of smurf accounts.
I’ve had 3 friends quit H5 after the first season because they didn’t want to start all over again rank wise. I can’t say I blame them. Dumb, dumb feature 343I.
Well I have a few alt accounts of my own, but I don’t care for arena or ranks, I just start up a new profile everytime I unlock everything and start all over, I’m the kind of smurf who sticks to firefight and customs, just wanted to let you guys know, not all smurfs are jerks.
Fun thing I noticed since Ranks ere introduced in Halo 2, they were never necessary to begin with. Untanked BTB was the most popular game type for a reason.
Something tells me that 343 wouldn’t know how to deal with long term rankings properly. I remember there being problems in the past when they first tried the two month seasons since the MMR ended up being too high or something like that and people couldn’t find matches.
