I really hope there’s dual wielding in halo 4. I mean There better be!!!
I would like to have dual-wieldable weapons as long as they work. I also don’t want to start off with a dual-wieldable weapon.
EDIT: Tri-wielding? How are you going to hold the thir-
Oh…that.
Oh, Guardians, I hope so.
Yes please! At least in customs!
Dual weilding is a silly gimmick and it messes up the weapon balance, because they need to be made weaker to not be overpowered when there are two of them. This is what made a lot of the weapons in H2 and H3 useless, and that’s not the right direction for the sandox development.
All weapons should be viable and serve a certain purpose of a certain niche, rather than being useless piles of scrap metal that you need two of to be able to match with any of the proper weapons.
And besides, if they had dual wielding, they would need to adjust the controls for that, and I’d rather use my bumpers for jumping and punching, and I don’t want the mess that was H3’s bumperjumper system for reloading and picking those second weapons up.
It’s a silly gimmick that serves no real purpose.

I actually dont think they need to be made weaker, i respect your opinion. but i think that taking away your ability to grenade and punch is the balance it did create. not to mention it looked Badass
Dual wielding ruined the sandbox. I won’t reiterate what the above poster said too much, but we went from the wonderfully balanced sandbox that was Halo CE, then to the BR-dominant mess of Halo 2.
OT: It has been confirmed not to be in.
Dual wielding is one of the best features in Halo.
I go around generally more on the Pro Reach department but damn anyone remember Halo 2’s announcement trailer and the reaction to the dual SMG’s?
If it is balanced correctly, why not? Just because something isn’t perfect, doesn’t mean it needs to be removed.
(This is the same argument I used with sprint.)

And essentially why your argument is respectful dude.

That’s a dreadfully illogical and unreasonable argument, chum. If something is flawed, it should either be fixed or removed in the case that you can’t fix it because the general idea of it is too faulty.
Why have bad, dysfunctional things in a game when all they do is impairing the overall game or the balance of it? I don’t get it.

Did you even read the reply? I stated if it is balanced correctly, why not?
Balance issues are not flaws. They can be tweaked.
And don’t tell me you can’t fix it. That would be a dreadfully illogical and unreasonable argument.

Bold: reply.

So, let’s take the Mauler and the shotgun for example. If the mauler was as powerful as the shotgun, then wouldn’t that be rather overpowered if there were two of them? You’d have twice the firepower of a shotgun. Same applies to SMG and AR.
And the grenade and punch thing doesn’t make a huge difference, because you can just drop one of them whenever you feel the need to do any of that.

Useless? I’ve gotten quite a few kills with the single wield magnum, thank you very much.
i wouldnt mind it but i think it messes up the game
If 343 didn’t confirm that it won’t be in, then it hasn’t been confirmed. Remember the whole thing with weapon timers?
> i wouldnt mind it but i think it messes up the game
How? The way I see it, the single wielder gets the benifit of grenades, melee, zoom and less recoil. The duel wielder sacrifices those for more firepower.

It messes up the game because in order for dual wielding not to be over powered you have to weaken the guns that can be wielded.
The fact is if you take a good/great player and allow him to dual wield the Reach magnum without bloom, he will destroy anyone from close to medium range. Right now if I have the magnum I can win against the DMR most of the time( depends on play list.) But, with 2 magnums I would never lose to the BR or DMR.
They need to find a way to balance the sandbox, and not worry about adding things just because they look cool.
Would be nice to use the noob combo in multiplayer, haha.
