There's a difference between trash/-Yoink- talking

I don’t know why but as of lately I’ve been coming across a lot of -Yoink- lately in matchmaking blaming players for losing a game and just being belittling and that’s what I call -Yoink- talking. Which from my perspective is unacceptable and will not tolerate. If you want to win more matches play in a group of four and not with randoms.

I got invited by a player (only because I did well that match on the opposing team) who was doing the -Yoink- talking and I responded to his invite with a message saying “Nah -Yoink- I’m not joining you cause I don’t like your attitude toward other players” Didn’t get anything back.

Trash talking on the other based on tone and context is something I don’t have a problem with. Something like “What the -Yoink- is my team doing?! Sittin’ in a corner jerkin’ their -Yoinks!- off?! Get moving you -Yoink-!”

Anyways yeah it’s all about tone and context.

I enjoy trash talking, especially if it’s got some comedy. It’s almost a lost art. Too many people are just straight up jerks. Bring back the yo momma jokes lol.

I just try to get their Warface on, if you catch my drift

I don’t trash talk, I just tell them where the enemy is & Tell them you can do it…when we’re getting Hammered…(But losing doesn’t bother me anyways)

Yo momma jokes are a bit childish.

The only trash talk that I got recently was someone making fun of my time played on the game saying to get a life. I thought it was funny cause he was obviously a smurf since he made his account a month ago and was definitely not a new player. Moron was probably a 152 on his main and talking crap, lol. The game has also been out for almost two years. Not hard to be a high rank if you just play for a few hours a day.

I always find those types of players funny too xD because yeah in reality it doesn’t take long in say a game like Halo, Gears of War, Call of Duty or even Battlefield that have ranks or military ranks/prestige modes to rank up fast.

Just do the math basically.

Yes. Adults playing video games where super soldiers fight aliens should definitely be mature at all times. This is serious business.

Of course it is. Especially now that Halo was dropped from Rated M to T.

I don’t -Yoink- talk, and the only trash talk I do is teabagging, and that’s occasional.

I love a good hearty trash talk as much as the next guy. I honestly think it’s part of Halo at this point of course there are the extremes of utter nonsense. Some of my best friends I had over Xbox were made by going online and trashing on each other (untill I’d beat them always) it’s part of the experience

“Yo momma jokes are a bit childish” Sounds like something a child would say, It’s about having fun with trash talking without majorly insulting them and the only people I’ve ever seen get upset at yo momma jokes are kids with sometimes major anger problems.

If you don’t -Yoink!-, You’re not a true halo player

Not really a discussion suitable for the Halo 5 forums
