The Legendary ending for Halo 5 shows Cortana at a Halo ring presumably to activate it. We all know what species is contained on Halo rings and most likely the setting for Halo 6 will be aboard this ring trying to stop Cortana. Seems to me like its a perfect setup for a flood comeback.

And I don’t think 343 will bring back the flood until the end of the Reclaimer Saga.
It would make a ton of sense for Flood to be in Halo 5, so that’s why there won’t be any. If I’ve learned anything from Halo 5, it’s that 343i won’t ever follow the logical story progression that they’ve set up. At this rate, Halo 6 will probably stick Cortana into the back as a very minor character, and have the Yonhet be the big bad guys. Because reasons.
As I said many times, It is entirely possible that Cortana is being controlled by the Gravemind. If you remember back to halo 3 there was grave concern of what would happen if the Gravemind took full control of her, although it was never clear what would happen. Your scenario would pay right into that. Not only that it would link all six games together.

No it’s not. It used to be called the Reclaimer Trilogy, but then they changed it to “Saga” because they didn’t want to limit themselves to a trilogy.

They changed it from Trilogy to Saga, so Im guessing we’ll have 4, 5, 6, 7 and probably 8 in the Reclaimer Saga.
This is also why they wanted to move away from numbered titles, Halo 5 being the last.
Personally, I think they should have kept using the numbered titles for games that feature the Chief as a main character.
So Halo 5 Guardians would have just been Halo: Guardians concidering it didn’t feature the Chief much.

And yeah I know it doesn’t come out for a while but Halo 5 gave us this evidence so obviously it makes sense to discuss it

I imagine we will see the Flood in Wars 2.
I Also think that we might get some small nodds to the Flood if we end up on Cortana’s Halo, maybe even a small outbreak (although it would be a waste for 343 to do all the work on the flood to only have them feature so little in the game).
I’m thinking that 343 are working up to the Return Of The Flood as their next Saga, which is why I don’t expect a great deal befor then.

Absolutely, I think its very safe to say Halo wars 2 has flood
I certainly hope they are, I love the Flood.

As much as I want Flood to return, I know they probably won’t. Halo 6 is the end of the Reclaimer Trilogy. They would have to reintroduce a major enemy like the Flood and then finish that story with them. All in the same game they have to finish the story with the Covenant (unless that’s already done), Prometheans, and The Created.
