There Will Be More Types of Knights in Halo 5

“While currently the UNSC has recorded encounters with four specific variations of Promethean Knight, it can be inferred that there might potentially be further variations designed to fill more specialized roles.”

This is a quote from the Halo Waypoint Universe section on the Promethean Knight. If you don’t know, the last sentence of an article sometimes has some sort of hint about Halo 5, for example the Didact’s page.
So what does this mean? Currently, we have four variants of Knights: the normal ones, Lancers, Commanders, and Battlewagons. The Lancers are scout/snipers, the Commander has an Incineration Cannon, and the Battlewagon has the Scattershot. Halo 5 might add new types of Promethean Knights (for example a Knight Marshall which directs forces towards you) which means new Forerunner weapons could be added as well.
And since the Prometheans are still active, that means that the Didact is surely alive and commanding them, as they only listen to him.

I’m all for having various promethean classes to fight, probably as the story continues even as an ally against the flood, since their main purpose was to fight the flood. (if the flood will already show up in h5)
However, I don’t think they should be the main threat again like in h4, since they’re not that entertaining to combat IMO

Maybe that’s why 343i is making more types- to make them more fun to fight.

Well it shouldn’t be Covenant either.

I hope they redo the Prometheans entirely, they were really awkward to fight, especially the knights.

I’m down to see new variants of the Promethean Knight. As opposed to the general audience, I enjoyed fighting them. The way that they fought and how their body digitalized after being killed was a great effect. Personally, I would want a variant that is specialized in pure hand to hand combat. Not like how the prometheans in Halo 4 teleport towards you, hit you once, then chickened out, but one that is a charger and if you get into a tussle with him, their is a QTE or something where you have to kill it before it composes you. I don’t know, it seems far-fetched, but that’s what I would like to see.

I want them to do more with the Commander. He does have some interesting force push powers, but you dont see them very often. I think that the Spartan Ops version of the commander was a lot better. It was more aggressive, ran faster, and had a slightly different pattern scheme.

New variants that I want:

A dual Bladed Knight. Slightly pointless, but it would be cool to see.

A 4-armed knight. I know the knight has 4 arms, but I mean combat arms that use weapons. Perhaps these 4 armed knights would be limited to small arms for balance.

A dual-wielding knight. 2 guns. No sword.

I think they can really expand upon the Lancers. The zig-zag teleport was cool and all, but now that we will always have thrusters, they can throw some crazier moves at us. Maybe the Lancer could have a high speed charge attack. You know, as if he’s actually using a lance to try and run us down.

Also, I want the return of the super-sentinels from Halo 2. But imagine if this time they could detach their giant arms and send them after you.
