There will be a new Halo game in 2013?

I was wondering, since Halo 3 the Halo series became annual:

Halo 3 - 2008; Halo ODST - 2009; Halo Reach - 2010; Halo Anniversary - 2011; Halo 4 - 2012

I’m not sure if it is wise to release a new Halo in 2013, with Spartan Ops giving enough “new” material to make fans satisfied, I don’t think I need some spin off or remake until Halo 5. But even so, following the pattern of releases, it is likely we will see an announcement in Microsoft E3 conference (after all, who doesn’t wanna sell some million copies every year?)

What you guys think about it?

(ps. sorry if I wrote something wrong, my native language is not english)

I believe this recent early pattern is merely coincidental. First of all, Halo 3 was released in 2007, not 2008. No Halo game was released in 2008, and in 2009 came first Halo Wars in late winter, and then ODST in fall. ODST was a side project done by Bungie whilst they didn’t need all the manpower for development of Reach. I also believe that both games came in such a short interval because Bungie wanted to get away from Microsoft fast, meaning they wanted to develop the two Halo games they needed to as fast as they could.

Halo Anniversary came in 2011 because of the ten year anniversary of Halo. It was a special occasion that I doubt will ever be repeated. And then Halo 4 just happened to be ready for 2012. In 2013, I would be very surprised if there was an announcement of a new Halo. This far, Halo Anniversary has been the only game in the series to be announced the year it was released. Even then, a lot of rumors had been circulating about it. If there was to be a Halo game in 2013, we would likely have already heard of it. The yearly trend is more of a coincidence than something planned, I doubt it’s going to continue.
