There should three layers of gameplay style

  1. Classic Mode: The name says it all, no armor enhancing stats, no sprint. Equal spawns and Arena style gameplay for Hard core Gametypes such as Snipers, SWAT, MLG, etc.

2.Slayer or (insert the name you want here): Sprint is present, can choose between DMR/BR

3.Halo 4 Slayer or (insert the name you want here): The full game as the developers wanted it to be.

If you could access this different playstyles via a custom option or playlist it would appeal to many players as they would be able to choose the type they like.

I think separating players from the beginning like this is a bad idea.

Well maybe reduce the layers to two? But as you can see with reach many like it many don’t it will hurt 343 more to give out one style.

If they give the classic, how will they innovate or try out new things.

If they give the Halo 4 version many old veterans may feel alienated as they did with reach.

So my proposal pleases both crowds while giving them the option to go back and forth between styles if they like both

I don’t see the point of the second layer. There’s only two crowds of people and one wants option 1 and one wants option 3.
I hate the idea of splitting the game up this much, but it’s starting to look necessary.

IMO everyone should be forced to play the game with default settings. I wouldn’t mind if there was one classic playlist (like they have SWAT and Grifball in Reach) but splitting the whole game up into 3 different sections is a very bad idea (splitting it in half is bad enough).

I don’t understand. If people are that desperate to play Halo “the way it’s meant to be” AKA Classic mode then why don’t they just carry on playing Halo 3 or Reach? Doesn’t make sense. I hate how split up Reach’s population has become.

I’d maybe go with just 1 and 3 so that there isn’t too much of a pop split.

There should be just classic Halo, with every new feature added working within that restriction.

Halo should not change to something it is not, and that is the truth. Period.

Team Objective, BTB, Squad Battle- Halo 4 settings

I know it’d be redundant but I’d actually like playlists for both so that people who like certain playlists but different gameplay styles won’t be left out.

Classic: Team Slayer, Rumble pit, Swat, Big team, objective, etc.
Halo 4: Team slayer, rumble pi, swat, big team, objective, etc.
Misc: Action Sack, Grifball, MLG, etc.

I have 3 options:
1)Be like what they did for the TU slayer in Team Slayer:For voting, one option is dedicated for Halo 4 default settings, and another option is dedicated to the classic settings.
2)Like in MW3(you had the option in matchmaking to choose between DLC priority or not), you should be given the option to shoose between Classic prioty, or not.
3)Like what they did with the Anniversary playlist:make one jumbo playlist(whatvever it was called , I forgot it).
