I think the world would be a better place if the forum was divided into two segments, ‘halo 4 discussion’ and ‘negative feedback’. this way people could air their complaints without clogging up the pages of people who want to know news and discuss ideas. I’m all for submitting complaints, if someone doesn’t like something, I respect them for it, it’s all about opinion, however it is somewhat frustrating when half of my page is filled with topics discussing things that I personally do not care about. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however I feel that if it was divided, there would be a much more positive, warm and friendly feel to the community that wishes to discuss theories and ask questions.
The only issue would be that if the forums were divided in two, there could be a loss in communication between the two segments. I would usually have both open in tabs just incase i fancy a browse, however.
I don’t think its the best idea to split the forum like that.
I get there’s a lot of negativity but the constructive stuff shouldn’t be bundled in with the baseless complaining.

I think all these threads filled with complaining users are getting really weird… full support OP but i don’t think it’s gonna happen.
> It wouldn’t be a problem if people used constructive criticism to share their opinions and feedback instead of spammed rages and hate threads.
I agree, however these Haters, Ragers, etc. will always find something to complain about, just wait what will happen to the Halo 4 Forum when Halo 4 is out.
The forums are created for the community to give feedback to the creators and to discuss it with other members of the community. There will always be negitivity and 343 can learn from it wether its well thought out or just plain yelling. Everyone has a right if you really can’t handle the negitivity you probably shouldn’t be on the forums.

I’m all for community, but sometimes this doesn’t feel like a good one because of all the anger and frustration. I understand the fundamentals of a community and i feel that if there was a feedback section, 343 could still learn just as much.
The only issue i have is that there is a seemingly negative atmospgere surrounding and englufing the community.

At the start of every halo game after halo 1 there has always been threads of massive hate. Halo 4 isn’t protected from this either. And its not even limited to the halo community its like this in pretty much all console based games.
Get thicker skin. Since their beginnings Halo forums consist mainly of two groups: Those who don’t like the majority of changes being implemented in the latest installment and those who think Bungie/343 are infallible. Both groups are very whiney and vocal.

I believe that there is also a pretty substantial third group. The people who don’t agree with parts of what the developer (Bungie or 343) but still trust them to make a good game because we are reasonable people.

Agree with this.
Personally, i’d rather have an incredibly negative forum of threads telling 343 to fix things than a forum of ‘rate the armour of the person above you’, ‘stop complaining about x’ and ‘what’s the fastest way to get credits’ threads.
Perhaps have sub-forums in the H4 forum specific to different parts of the game (one for multiplayer, one for campaign, one for co-op maybe) with the overall ‘general’ Halo 4 forum for anything else. The vast majority of the ‘negative’ threads would then be in the multiplayer forum.

With the exception of the “reasonable” part (I’m not going to call someone unreasonable because they complain or because they’re more loyal to game developers than the game itself) I agree with this.
I agree with you all, constructive critisism is great, it allows ideas to develop and adapt. The only thing that frustrates me is the people that spam hate and fill the forums with garbage. e.g. ‘screw you 343, you have elites belly buttons’. it doesnt help the community and angers people.
This was simply my input on a way we could help the community, so i’m sorry if you disagree with me.

> Here’s a way to split it. Two Halo 4 forums, one for “Openminded players” and the other for “Players who just want to play Halo 2 again”.
But but but…
That would mean I would have to post in 2 forums!
I want H4 to be…well, H4 as it is intended to be (pro-change here)
But I also want to play H2 again (as it easily is the best Halo, but you can’t emulate that with a new game, even if you would make it 100% identical…the community still has changed. That being said: I do want my H2A)
Jokes aside:
The complaints really are getting to the point of being nitpicky and incredibly stupid. As if people now know their complaints won’t do anything anymore, so they’re just swinging their arms around trying to hit anything and cause a stir for the hell of it.
It’s getting tired. It’s getting old. And it doesn’t lead anywhere.
Give them an all negative thread to complain like a bunch of grumpy old men, and let the rest of us just discuss news etc without constantly having to kick out the complainers out of your threads.
